Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2013
I didn't have bacon, so i just used a couple tablespoons of butter in place of the drippings. I also left out the caraway seeds (didn't have any). Maybe it was because i left out the bacon, but this tasted a tiny bit sweet to me. Next time i might cut the sugar down. An excellent recipe that turned out good even with my modifications.

turned out great! I think the crust was my favorite part.... I am eager to try this again using peaches instead of apples.

Apple Crisp Cookies

For all the work they were very dry and not as flavorful as i had hoped. Ok with a big glass of milk, and they do smell amazing when baking.

Best Easy Chicken Croquettes

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Easy to prepare and just what I wanted, but they were a little salty for my taste. Overall, this made something that is usually a big pain to prepare more convenient! Thanks!

Cabbage and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Ok, this took less than 15 minutes to make and was delicious! I followed the recipe except I used Adobo instead of salt. I think it would be delicious with the addition of sausage, I may do that next time. Thanks so much for a super easy, amazingly good recipe!

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
Amazing... I had leftover bananas in the freezer and needed to use up some sour cream, and this recipe fit the bill. Made them exactly as stated in the recipe, they are super moist and the flavor is perfect! They are easy to throw together. I did as another reviewer suggested and used The whipped cream cream cheese frosting recipe from this site!

Fudge Brownies I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Didn't really do it for me... followed another reviewers suggestion and added extra chocolate. Was really not brownie like at all, just turned out like a pan of chocolate fudge.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
Easy, good... I used regular bottled ranch dressing in place of the ranch seasoning (didn't have any on hand) Very spicy, a good alternative to BBQ pork or chicken sandwiches.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Spice

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
When I was looking for pumpkin seed recipes after pumpkin carving, I wanted to make a few different kinds and this ended up being one. The first thing out of my friends mouth when reading the recipe was "this sounds complicated"- but it's not! Even the tradtional pumpkin seed fans who thought this sounded kind of gross really liked it! The only thing i have to say is really watch the sugar so it doesn't burn!

Bacon-Roasted Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Great basic recipe idea... I made some alterations. Chicken breast cutlets with regular bacon slices layed on top of them, red potatoes(cubed), cover the whole thing with chopped onions and a mixture of granulated garlic, italian seasoning, and adobo. Baked at 375 for about 45 minutes... bacon was nice and crisp, potatoes were soft, Perfect!!!

Zucchini Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
I love soft cookies, so this was a winner. Husband liked them, and he doesn't normally eat zucchini. Omitted raisins and used a little less cinnamon and added chocolate chips. Easy, delicious!

Easy Alfredo Sauce II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
Needed a quick alfredo sauce for dinner tonight and chose this one. Amazing! I added a little cube of cream cheese i had left over to the ingredients, added dried garlic and some herbs, and used 1% milk. Me and the husband both thought it was great! Thanks for an awesome recipe... never would have thought to do this!

Sweet Bacon Dogs

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
I brought these to a party, and it took awhile to get people to try them- but once they did, these little treats were a BIG hit! I used lil' smokies instead of cocktail weiners, and i just threw the bacon wrapped dogs in a dish, and dumped the brown sugar over the whole thing. I stirred them well while baking, so everything got covered. GREAT RECIPE, i never would have thought to combine this myself!

Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
I followed the directions as given. I really liked the taste and texture. However, I put it on my pumpkin bundt cake, which I was giving to someone for christmas, and the icing didn't hold up well... it was kind of gummy by the second day, even though i had it well covered. That is my only complaint. If you plan to use this icing, make sure it is going to be used up right away.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

You can follow the directions exactly as written on this one and it turns out amazing... but if you do make some alterations, it still turns out great! I have made several times and everyone loves it! Very sweet, though, so if you don't have a sweet tooth, watch out.
