Salsa Chicken

Chicken was very tender. I did not have taco seasoning so I just used cayenne pepper and black pepper. We used for tacos. I had uncooked Foster Farms breast tenders and only cooked for 25 mins.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

I made this recipe with BOILED sweet potatoes until they were soft. I mashed them and then used an immersion blender to make it extra creamy. The only suggestion I have is to double the topping mix!!! The brown sugar/pecan topping is delish and I didn't feel like there was enough! Overall, this is a keeper recipe. I will make again.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

These are hands down the best cookies. Super easy, and people LOVE them. 8 minutes is perfect. I added a couple tablespoons of leftover coffee to give it a little bit of a kick. If you love moist cookies, these are for you!

Caramel Bars

I have to express to you HOW GREAT these are! I'm not joking. I ate these instead of lunch. I think I had 10 of these bars. If you like caramel, you have to make this. This is going to be my new go-to dessert thing for a long time. ***UPDATE*** I just made these AGAIN!!! Here is my tip: double the crust/topping. These are insanely good!

Autumn Lentil Soup

I made this with a couple modifications. I used pre cooked lentils that were vacuum packed from my health food store. I had some left over Sauvignon Blanc (about 1 cup) and I let it cook for about 20 minutes with the onions, carrots, and some powdered chicken broth, some water, and salt and pepper. Then I added the lentils, and cooked for a few minutes until warm. Finally, I chopped up some fresh spinach and stirred it in and served. Yummmmmmmy! So much fiber, too!

Dijon Crusted Halibut

Didn't use horseradish, and I used panko for the breadcrumbs. DELISH! I am only giving it a 4 stars because it didn't brown up enough on top. The flavor was really good. I will make again, and again and perfect the crust. I served with haricot verts and it was reminiscent of a French cafe. Yum!

Minestrone Soup I

This soup was great. I didn't have shell pasta so I used macaroni. I added about a cup of water and some kale. I toasted some sourdough bread and put garlic salt and butter on it. I will definitely make again.

Red Pepper Soup

Delicious! I roasted the peppers in the oven and peeled them. This soup recipe really should be doubled to make enough for 4 people. The servings were quite small, so I roasted 3 very large red bell peppers and it still was not enough. Next time I will double. I also used Lawry┬┤s Garlic Salt instead of regular salt. I suggest topping with a little sour cream and chopped up shallots on top. It tastes like you are at a gourmet french restaurant. Yum!

Osso Buco

I will make this again. I used 2 shanks because there are just 2 of us. We were out of flour and celery. So for the browning, I just dried off the shanks and put salt and pepper on them to brown. I didn't miss the celery at all. I just added extra carrots. I fould a can of beef broth in the pantry and used that instead of water. It was really good! My husband ate it up! It was really good. I served it with Angel Hair pasta and zucchini. This was great. I will make again many times. Oh, I also just used all dried herbs that I had in the house. It was still awesome!

Real Hummus

Yummy!!!!!!! I added a 2 cloves of roasted garlic and made it extra garlicky. This recipe is a great base for any flavor hummus that you like.

I just made this AGAIN. This is really so good. This really tastes like you are eating food from a Mediterranean or Lebanese restaurant. I cannot stress enough....MAKE THIS TAWOOK...it is really good.

Shish Tawook Marinated Chicken

The reason I am only giving it 2 stars is that it was bland. I made the recipe exactly the way it was stated. It was good and my husband liked it, but it did not have a kick that I usually like with the tawook. I am going to try the other recipe on this site and then report back. If you search on the internet, there are only a couple of recipes available anywhere!
