Homemade Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
I have made these twice in the past 24 hours because everyone loves them! I followed the instructions exactly and the buns turned out fabulous! Thank you, Chef John, for posting this recipe! The video helped, also. This was my first time ever making buns and I was certain I was going to somehow screw it up, but I was so happy when they came out so beautiful and delicious. :) I highly recommend this recipe! Definitely a keeper!

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
This pie was SENSATIONAL! Absolutely delicious! I am usually not one to eat all my pecan pie because of the jello-like consistency from the corn syrup, but this pie has no corn syrup and it was the most delicious pecan pie I have ever had in my entire life. I am so happy I found this recipe! Thank you to the original person who submitted this! What a find!

The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
This is a great recipe! I followed someone's advice on here and made it with half white and half brown sugar, I used a half cup less of flour, and I added a dash of vanilla. It was so good! I left it in the oven for 45 min. instead of 1 hr and it just turned out so good! It was moist and thick. Just the way banana bread SHOULD be! Definitely a keeper, even though I altered it a little bit. =)

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
I was extremely disappointed in this recipe. I made it EXACTLY as the recipe called and I had to spoon it out like soup after 75 minutes of cooking (the recipe called for 60 minutes). I am so upset that I made this. My husband wanted banana bread, so I put what little "bread" I could into a 13x9 pan so it could cook thoroughly and am STILL cooking it, after an hour and a half. I didn't want my bananas, flour, eggs, and all the rest of the ingredients I used to go to waste. We are in the process of resurrecting this mess, so maybe I will get on here and leave a review of how my mess tasted. Sorry to be so negative, but I am pretty upset over this. WAY TOO MANY BANANAS. The only reason it got one star from me is because I was required to give it at least one star, so I did.

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2008
This recipe was great! I ran out of butter so I ended up using 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening and hoped it would not ruin them, and it didnt! These are by far the best peanut butter cookies I have ever had! They were supposed to be for my husband, but seeing that I am pregnant and I love them so much, he is out of luck. I will be making more this weekend. Great job on the recipe! LOVE IT!!! Okay, I am adding more to my previous rating because I saw that this recipe got some low marks. Someone said they run a deli and bakery and that these cookies were bad. You are crazy!!! These cookies are great! What more do you want? I have used many peanut butter cookies and this one is where I stopped my search for my ultimate recipe. I love this recipe! =)
