Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
Made as written. Warm or cool, taste is really very good. Definately nothing to look at. Serve it to someone on a plate with cool whip, whipped cream, or ready whip, looks much nicer. Will make again as written. I forgot about the marshmallows being in the dessert, never noticed them.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2012
Made per recipe, turned out just perfect! Really easy to make. I did not use a mixer. Quick rise time. Only baked it for 23 minutes. Must be my oven. If it smells wonderful, check to see if it is done. Sounds solid when tapped. Really quick, easy recipe.

Our family really enjoyed this recipe. We may change it next time...maybe add a little bit of jalapeño and or cilantro. Definitely will make it again.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Very good. Calculated for 16 servings. Still way too much for 9x13 cake. Flavor and consistency was quite good. Will definately use this recipe again.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
Really, really good. I almost always use the recipe as written the first time I make it. This time I made the crumb topping as another reviewer suggested. I also substituted applesauce for 1/2 of the oil. 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup white sugar. Also baked it in 9 x 13 pan. This is my favorite recipe. Crumb topping really makes it! Great recipe, thanks to many:D

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
Made as written, very good! I think the potatoes were a little under cooked. I like them firm, but they were a bit under cooked. The picture looks like a white dressing, it is yellow. Will make again with a little more mayo.

Dad's Asian Slaw

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
Made as written. Loved it. The ramen noodles really should be added with the liquid and seasonings as stated. If you want "crunchy" add some of the toasted almonds and sunflower kernals just before serving.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
Used regular size chocolate chips. Used coffee instead of warm water. Used 1/2 cup of oil and 1/2 cup of milk. 9 x 13 pan for 50 min. Make sure when you test for doneness, you do not hit a warm wet chocolate chip and keep baking. Super easy and very good.

You can always mess around with a recipe, it's fun to customize. This recipe is very good as written. Don't waste the opportunity to make 3 loaves. They get eaten quickly. You can always freeze or give away a treat.

Really like these. I really like the pistachios in this. Adds color. Dip one end in white chocolate for more color and flavor. Goes great with morning coffee:)

Very easy to make. Usually have all ingredients on hand. Teenagers really liked it, especially the icing. It was good, don't need to make it again.

Libby's® Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
I have been making this recipe for many years. Taste and consistency great as written. I think it works better to cut the cake in half. Cut across the length, not with the length. Then roll them up starting with the cut side. Use 2 towels making 2 rolls, of course. Elevate off the counter on a cookie rack to cool. Spread half the icing on each roll when rolls are cool, then reroll. Keep refrigerated. Can freeze beautifully. I have never had a problem sticking using parchment paper, i don't even spray. After baking, let cool 5 min. Grab the parchment paper which extends past the pan and leisurely flip cake over onto a towel, then cut and wrap to totally cool. Frost. Reroll. Super easy recipe after you have done it. Looks good, tastes great! ,

Very good just as written. Everyone whined that no icing was used until they ate it without the icing. It really does not need icing.
