Mom's Chicken En Cocotte

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
This is a geat recipe. I omit the water and use a 15 oz. can of diced tomatoes. The tomatoes add a wonderful flavor. When cooking with bag you get plenty of liquid to use with the leftovers for soup.

Chinky's Mango Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
I did not find any mango taste in this bread. It is more like a very delicate tasting very moist spice bread. I followed the recipe with exception of adding 3 cups chopped mango. I would nor make this again as the flavors were very disappointing.

Philadelphia New York-Style Sour Cream-Topped Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Very similiar to my recipe. I add 11/2 TBSP. of lemon juice for added flavor. Makes the cream cheese flavor pop. I also bake mine in a true cheese cake pan at 350* for 1 hour, then shut off the oven and leave it sit in the oven for an added hour. If you put a pan of water in the bottome of the oven your cake won't crack. Leave it sit on the counter until it comes to room temperature then put in the fridge. Better if made at least one day in advance for all of the flavors to come to together. You'll also see a real cheesescake texture the next day. I serve mine with assorted pie fillings on top. I made mine and gave it to ,my doctor after some extensive surgery. He thought it tasted better than the one his family makes in their bakery in Westchester N.Y. Now it's an annual ritual, when I have my annual exam he gets his cheesecake.

Pink Cloud

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
This is also excellent using one package of pistachio pudding to replace the raspberry jello. Add some mini marshmallows and chopped pecans.

Seabreeze

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
You can cut out the tart/bitter flavor by using orange juice instead of the grapefruit juice. It's ideal with coconut rum. On a HOT summer night it's lucious !!!

This is excellent. My husband likes both ratatouille and ravioli. What a wonderful way to give him both.Add your own favorite seasonings to your taste. Will make on a routine basis...

Salad Dressing Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
This is a form of the original Waldorf Astoria cake. Better when baked in a 9x9 brownie pan.For a richer chocolate use 1/2 cup cocoa powder. Top with vanilla ice cream or real whipped cream.

Creamy Mango Sorbet

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
This is the best sorbet I've ever eaten. I make it at least 3 times a month. I get fresh mangos from our tree, cleam them and freeze for use during the winter months. I also add a teaspoon of vanilla and use one whole can of evaporated milk in place of the cream.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
I baked the cake as the recipe stated however, the cake fell and the top came off when I inverted it. Also, the top 1" was still uncooked. The bottom portion that was cooked had good flavor. I need to either cook longer or raise the temperature.
