Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
I think this smoothie is great, well, since it is my recipe. If the ice is not blending, it is okay to add more milk to move it along. I'm sure vanilla pudding would be good too, or simply Nesquick powder. 3 tablespoons of peanut butter may or may not be too much, according to your tastes. Usually, I don't even measure, I just glop it in.

Baklava

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
This stuff is AMAZING! And it is pretty simple to make, but assembly can be time-consuming. It was my boyfriend's and my first time using phyllo dough, and it is really tricky, being of thin paper consistency. What's great about this recipe is that it doesn't have to be pretty to taste awesome. The only think we changed was to add some brown sugar to the nut mixture. SO GOOD AND ADDICTIVE!

Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
My roommate made this for a Christmas party, and I thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers. She did use French Vanilla pudding, and I think that makes all the difference, along with a long refrigeration time. Divine.

Tasted just like the restaurant rolls! I used tortillas and sprayed them with Pam, and they were golden and delicious!

Cranberry Orange Cookies

SOOOOO Good! You don't need to change a thing! I halved the recipe, and everything worked just fine. The cookies are sweet enough that they don't even need the icing!

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
Wow, this was an awesome pizza. I made the pizza crust using a recipe on here. I didn't have any ranch, so I took 1/2 cup of mayo and 1/2 cup of sour cream and added about 2/3 of a ranch packet to it. I spread this thinly on the crust with a liquid brush. To make the chicken, I thawed it and put some season all, salt and pepper, and a little bit of garlic on there and pan sauteed it with olive oil. I cut it up into small pieces so it would cook faster. Then, I mixed it with the sauce and put it on top of the ranch sauce. Finally, I placed a mixture of cheddar and mozz cheese on top and baked for about 15 minutes at 350. Delicious!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
This recipe was awesome. I made it by hand instead of the bread machine, and it was FANTASTIC. The first time I used the cream cheese icing on here, and I felt that it overpowered the rolls. The second time I made these, I used just a regular icing from another recipe, and they were PERFECT.

Empanadas

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
These are delicious! I put the dough in the freezer for a half an hour, and this worked fine. I had to work quickly though! I added 1/4 cup of sugar to the dough. The only problem with these was assembly. I kept filling mine too full! Practice will fix this problem though. Great with ice cream!

Herbed Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
These Chicken nuggets were great!! The only change I included was to add a little Parmesan cheese to the mixture to add some zing and salt. Great recipe! *Update* I have made these several times now, and I wanted to try freezing them so I would not have to go through the hassle of making them from scratch again. Even though these chicken nuggets are great, moist and juicy, when they are fresh, they are very dry when they are baked again. I would not recommend freezing them.

Fantastic! My only complaint is that it is a little greasy, but this is solved by draining off some of the grease.

Very good, but very time-consuming. Left-overs are even better the next day. For a semi-homemade rendition, check out baked ziti.

Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
Okay, so this recipe took some practice. Once I got the hang of it, I ended up with wonderful kettle corn!!! Like the other reviews, I do the three-kernel test. Once those 3 have popped, I add the kernels and the sugar together. I stir that once or twice so there aren't any clumps, and I leave the pan on the burner until the popcorn has started popping really well. After that, I do the 5 second on, 5 second off bit that was mentioned in another review. This popcorn is really easy to burn, and it may take some practice, but the end result is soooo worth it!!!

Loosemeat Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
This was very good. I made this with a little garlic powder, paprika, S&P, and beef broth instead of water. The beef itself had a great flavor. With the addition of pickles, cheese, and mustard, a great sandwich was made. UPDATE: Since I make this ALL the time, it has to be a five star recipe. I've used beef broth and chicken broth, both are excellent. To prepare the sandwiches, I spoon the meat mixture onto one side of the bun, add some onions, and on the other side I put shredded cheddar, and broil in the oven until the cheese is just melted. PERFECT.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
I give these pancakes a 5 because they were the fluffiest pancakes I have ever made myself! I did cut back on the salt, as recommended by other reviews. Depending on how you like your pancakes, you made need to add a little more milk. The measurements here require enough milk to make a thick batter. I like my pancake batter to be medium thickness, so I just added milk by eye. Great recipe!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
This recipe was so simple and delicious! I used the required apples, kiwi, and strawberries, but raspberries were expensive, so I used apricots instead. Next time, I would add only 1 Tablespoon of white sugar to the fruit mixture since the chips are so sweet on their own. I did like the juice the sugar creates, making the fruit mixture more salsa-like. As for the tortillas, only one cup of cinnamon sugar was needed. These could be a great snack on their own! Great recipe!
