Grilled Veggie Skewers

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2014
Left out the squash, pineapple, red onion, and half the salt. Very delicious recipe. I will be making it again. Next time I think I will add some garlic to the mixture and perhaps some rosemary.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
Great crust recipe. I doubled the recipe and it made 2 cookie sheet sized pizzas. I'll definitely be using this recipe again.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
Great pizza sauce! I left out the anchovy paste, used garlic powder instead of minced garlic, and left out the onion powder. I doubled the recipe and had TONS left over (we made two cookie sheet sized pizzas - there was probably enough sauce left for at least 3 more). Hopefuly this will freeze okay.

Onigiri - Japanese Rice Balls

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2014
Great recipe! I used other reviewer suggestions and mixed 1C vinegar/2 TBSP sugar mixture in with the rice before forming it as well as adding soya sauce to the bonito. I found the salt water mixture invaluable to keep the rice from sticking to my hands. At first, I just dipped my fingertips, but dipping my entire hand worked much better. Next time, I am going to try a salmon filling or pickled plums (umeboshi) on at least some of them.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2014
Great recipe! I used the instructions as guidelines rather than following it exactly. I mixed the cauliflower with olive oil, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in the bag (didn't measure any of them exactly) and baked as suggested. I will definitely be making this again.

Great base recipe. I added red pepper flakes and garlic to the original recipe and it turned out quite well.

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2014
The only change I made to the recipe was to double the amount of spices as suggested by other reviewers. This soup hits the spot!

Spicy Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2012
Tasty soup. I changed things up a bit namely making way more than the original recipe (guessing on ingredient amounts) and omitting the cream. I will definitely be making this one again!

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2012
Made the chicken in the oven in a covered glass dish with some water in the bottom and lots of Italian seasoning. I scored the chicken and put garlic in the scores - the chicken was fabulous! I ended up using 2 packages of spinach, but I think I will cut it back to one next time. I think I made pretty much the rest of the recipe as written. This is such a great recipe!

Pierogi Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
Pretty good casserole. I made a few adjustments as per other reviewers and made my own alterations. First, I combined the cheese, salt, and pepper with the potatoes. In the future, I will put the onions, bacon, and the garlic in with the potatoes as well. I layered the potato mixture and noodles until I was close to the top at which time I added one layer of bacon (I left them in slices) and then potatoes on top. To top it off, I put another layer of noodles and shredded cheese. After that, I sprinkled chives (can't remember if they were regular chives or garlic chives) on the top and baked it. Next time, I think I will add sour cream to the potato mix and perhaps mushroom soup or mushrooms (as suggested by another reviewer). Overall, I think this recipe is worth keeping in my collection!

Sweet Potato Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Delicious pie and super easy to make! I estimated the ingredients to 1.5 times to fill 2 regular 9" pie shells and it worked out well. Other than that, I kept everything the same. Everyone on my project team loved it! Will be making this one again.

Syrian Bread

Yum! I made these exactly as written and they turned out fabulous. I might have to add some garlic to them when I make them again to make them even better!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
This recipe amazed me. I was not expecting it to be so good! I made almost as written. I used 4 chicken breast and some additional broth, replaced the cream with 1% milk, and added a few things as per other reviews - onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. I used the Lipton Sidekick Wild Rice. I will definitely make this one again!

Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
This recipe was just ok. I made some marshmallows covered with crushed cinnamon hearts, some with coconut, and some with coloured sprinkles. If I make this recipe again, I will cover more of the marshmallow with chocolate and perhaps flavour it. The cinnamon hearts were pretty good, so I might top them all with them next time.

Gina's Lemon Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
Very quick and easy recipe. The chicken was tender coming out of the oven. I would add other spices next time however and perhaps some more pepper.

Ghirardelli® Magic Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
The end result was delicious. Instead of the nuts, I just substituted a cup of butterscotch chips and mint chips (I made two pans). I found they were nearly impossible to get out of the pan - almost need to be a body builder to get them out! I will probably try greasing the pans next time I bake these to see if it makes them any easier to get out...

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
Pretty good recipe. I used a full onion, no olive oil, and a full head of cabbage. I also added lentils, some pre-cooked ham, and Italian seasoning as another reviewer suggested. Instead of making it on the stove, I used my slow cooker.

Creamy Slow Cooker Marsala Pork

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
This recipe is fantastic! I didn't use the wine, but made the rest as directed. The meat was very tender and tasted incredible. I think this is the best slow cooker pork recipe I have tried so far. Will definitely be making this again!

Spicy Oil and Vinegar Bread Dip

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
Ok recipe. I'm not a huge fan of oil and vinegar to begin with, but this seemed too oily to me and also to my dinner mate (who is a connoissuer of oil and vinegar). We added more vinegar to make it better.

Japanese-Style Sesame Green Beans

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
Delicious! I changed this recipe up a bit - I threw in some red peppers and mushrooms. Turned out great! The only thing I will do next time is to cook the beans a bit longer before adding the peppers and mushrooms.
