About this Cook
I started to seriously try cooking 2 years ago after I got married. I'd been single, and had such a demanding job, that I never had time for proper cooking. Now I have 3 girls who love tasting new things, and, though I've never particularly enjoyed cooking, lately, it's been very joyous for me as my husband and kids actually remark at how delicous my meals are. I can certainly learn a whole lot more, but I think I've had a good start so far.
My favorite things to cook
Mexican Rice, Spaghetti, Beef Tacoes, Corn Bread.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pozole, Birria, Tamales...all dishes usually made at either special times of the year, or during large family gatherings only.
My cooking triumphs
Spaghetti. I'm proud to say that adults and children who've never really liked Spaghetti, have been delighted to eat mine, and go for seconds!
My cooking tragedies
Chili. The flavor was just off. My husband does all of the chili cooking now...and he does a wonderful job!

Shrimp and Crab Bisque
I love this recipe. I haven't personally made it, which is why I love it more. My husband is the one that cooks it, and I have to say...his cooking isn't always the best, but he has made this recipe his own. He changes it a bit, doesn't add all of the half and half, and turns it into sauce. He then pours it on top of Linguine noodles, and makes it an awesome pasta dish. I absolutely love it!!!
