Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies from Heaven

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
This cookies were great! Easy to make and delicious. Only thing to watch out for- it yields a few more cookies than what is stated in the recipe. Of course, no one is complaining...

Boiled Bagels

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
I've made bagels in the past with a different recipe and they've always turned out great. But when I found a bagel recipe that took half the amount of time, I decided to give it a try. Unlike many people, I had absolutely no trouble making this dough into 12 equal regular sized bagels. The reason for only a 3 star rating is the fact that they did not bake well. I found they did NOT need the seven minutes of boiling as laid out and the baking time/temperature must be off, because the bagels did not fully cook after being 'golden brown' they cooked in parts but not others. They were more doughy than I would like them to be, but nonetheless good. I'll try again later and hopefully they will work better. But in the meantime, I'm sticking to my other recipe.

Kalacs (Hungarian Cinnamon Swirl Bread)

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
Absolutely delicious! My Hungarian grandmother is a tough critic, and she quite enjoyed it. I ran out of butter (guess I should have checked before hand...) and finished with applesauce- couldn't taste the difference. The only negative thing (if you could call it that) is that the bread needed a good 5-10 minutes more in the oven. Overall, gooey goodness! Both loaves disappeared within hours!

Delicious Pineapple Muffins

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
These are actually quite good. I used a 14 oz can of pineapple, half of which I added to the batter and half of which I used to top the muffins. I ran out of baking powder, so I didn't wuite use a full tablespoon- but there was no real difference. My sister was over when they came out of the oven and she proclaimed 'These are actually quite addictive!" (only after her 4th one!)

Cottage Cheese Roast

Reviewed: May 2, 2008
I made this for my parents last night, and was a litle apprehensive as my dad is an avid meat-eater and dislikes cottage cheese. At first, I didn't tell my parents what was in the roast, but once I saw they liked it, I told them the ingredients. They were both taken aback to discover something SO delicious had cottage cheese in it. I did substitute the soup mix for a chopped onion and cut the oil in half. You could not tell the difference. Delicious and EASY!
