I really enjoyed this recipe, but I ran into a problem with the amount of dough required. Though I used a double crust, after rolling out the rectangle, the dough was so thin I couldn't fill it. I started over and made six 7" circles instead. I also premixed the filling with melted butter and added some seasoning. I'll try this one again. Very tasty!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

When it's eight below outside, what could be better than a crock pot of stew? I'm making this for the second time as it's now on my husband's list of all time favorites. I added more potatoes and carrots than called for in the recipe. I didn't have onion soup mix so I just used beef broth instead of water. I also added fresh mushrooms and bay leaves. I didn't find it necessary to add flour at the end. It thickened up beautifully.
