Jan's Fresh Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
Very good. Very pretty. I used a crust of 1 cup flour, 1 stick of butter and 3T of sugar. Mix till crumbly and pat into pie plate. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes. Cool. Don't know how the graham cracker would be but this crust was still not soggy when we ate the leftover pie 2 days later. The blueberries were still pretty too.

Winter Squash Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Made these with my stand mixer and dough hook. It was the most perfect dough! I needed quite a bit more flour and used a combination of all-purpose and bread flour. I also took the shortcut of using a 10 oz. package of (thawed) frozen squash. They were perfect and wonderful. 12 rolls would have been huge. I made them dinner roll size and got one 9X13 and one 8X8 pans full. My guests were delighted to take some home.

World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2008
I've made these the last two Christmas mornings. Searched everywhere for Devon cream (found it at World Market) and served it with raspberry jam. As good as the scones I first tasted at the tea room outside Windsor Palace.

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2005
I was out of honey so used molasses. I also added some shelled pumpkin seeds and cut back a little on the sunflower seeds. It was great! We all kept going back for just a nibble more. It made the whole house smell great.

Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Cake

This is great! Very impressive but not at all hard to do. Not too sweet - just very rich.

Tomato Sausage Tart

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2004
Tried this tonight with some wonderful home grown tomatoes and it was delicious! Didn't do they mayo though as I felt it was rich enough. Just added some basil to a small portion of prepared mayo and used just a dollop on each piece. We did have some left over so we'll have to see if it reheats OK. There was quite a bit of juice left in the pan which I removed so leftovers won't be soggy.

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2000
I made this for my bridge club and they loved it! It needed a bit more mayo. Next time I'll make the dough strips narrower so I can easily make 1" slices.
