I don't know how people have rated this recipe so highly. I followed all the instructions. I am a good cook. No one in my family liked this.

I consider myself a pretty good cook. I followed the recipe as written. It lacks any flavor at all.

Perfect Summer Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
Excellent recipe! Be careful not to cook the sauce too long on the higher heat because it will be too thick to mix into the fruit. I put this with just fresh pineapple, strawberries and blackberries and it was delicious!

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Yummy! I made this without chicken, as a side dish to the Pan-Fried Steak with Marsala Sauce recipe. Perfect pairing!

Glen's Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
Yummy. I didn't have dry mustard so I just used regular mustard. I didn't have sherry so I used white wine. I wanted a cheesy cheddar sauce for broccoli on top of potatoes so I omitted the swiss and put 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Delicious!

Finnish Meatballs (Lihapyorykoita)

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
Excellent! Very easy to make! This is a five-star without any changes. My kids complained about the onions even though it was minced. Next time I will just put onion powder. I would prefer to make smaller meatballs next time, like the size you find at IKEA. We put the meatballs and gravy over the mashed potatoes. Everyone loved it!

Crescent Pizza Pockets

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
These are perfect for kids. There is nothing gourmet about them. But, if you are going to feed your kids frozen pizza pockets, this is a much cheaper and tastier version. You can even freeze them yourself and use later. We made pepperoni and olive, canadian bacon and pineapple, and pesto with cheese. I made them with refrigerated pizza dough. One tube of dough made four large pizza pockets. My young kids only ate half of one pocket each.

Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2009
We love Indian Fry bread. We usually make it once or twice a year. We have always just used a white bread dough recipe. This one is sooooo much better! My husband made them and they turned out great! Just way too much salt for me. I would at least half the amount of salt. They make a great dessert too with honey or powdered sugar.

Perfect Pressure Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
This is a SIMPLE recipe and tastes delicious! I used 1/2 Tablespoon of onion powder instead of real onions because onions get soggy in the pressure cooker. I cooked the roast on the second ring for thirty minutes, did the quick release method (cold water) and then added carrots and quartered roast potatoes. Then I brought it to the second ring again and cooked for 15 minutes. Then used the quick release method again. SIMPLE and DELICIOUS!

Ronaldo's Beef Carnitas

I added half a can of tomato broth soup, a sprinkle of cinnamon, doubled the cumin, and a sprinkle of paprika. I cooked it in the pressure cooker for one hour. It falls apart because it is so moist. Delicious!

Unbelievable Grilled Garlic Bread

Delicious! However, I would DEFINITELY half the topping. It tastes great but it is WAY TOO MUCH and TOO RICH! I wouldn't change anything else but the quantity. Great easy side for visitors.

Grilled Garlic Artichokes

This is a great alternative to the mayo dipping sauce. It tastes like something you would order as an appetizer at a fancy restaurant. My kids weren't the biggest fans. I would use a lot less lemon next time. This is definitely a recipe I'll monkey with.

These are a great Christmas treat. They are super fast and the kids can help out with them. I made them with Hugs and an M&M on top and Rolos with a pecan on top. They both turned out yummy!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
This was great for Thanksgiving turkey leftovers. I didn't have time to cut up veggies so I used a can of mixed vegetables with potatoes, carrots, peas and celery. I didn't cook the veggies and meat since they were precooked. I just cooked the onions in butter and then made the sauce. I didn't have celery seed, but I didn't feel like I missed it. I used the Butter Flaky Pie Crust recipe (since I didn't have pie dough on hand) and it tasted delicious with this.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
This pie crust was great for a chicken pot pie. It only makes enough for the top of the pie, so I would double it next time to have a crust and topping on my pot pie. I didn't have time to chill the dough for a long time so I put it in the freezer for 30 minutes and then rolled it out. It worked great!

Scotch Scones

Yummy! This is the best scone recipe I have tried. The ones at the store are so sweet but most of the recipes I have found are so dry and tasteless. I tried several different kinds - plain, chocolate chip, and my favorite...blueberry with orange zest.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
I loved this. I cheated on the recipe, though. I had two extra breasts of chicken from grilling the night before so I chopped it up and added a cup of yogurt to it. Then I put all of the ingredients into the pan (only putting a dash of cayenne pepper) and cooked it. I added the chicken after I had let it all simmer and just cooked it until it was heated through. Great flavor!

Easy Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
These are fine, but probably wouldn't make again. I mixed them in a ziploc bag, as suggested, and they were really easy and clean to make. However, I cut a small hole in the corner of the bag and when they came out of the oven they looked exactly like dog poo! This would be great to use as a practical joke!
