i'm a dedicated student at DBU. my nights are spent studying, cooking and working out. i have three dogs and a wonderful boyfriend and honestly, my life couldn't get better.

my favorite things to cook are: spaghetti japanese onion soup stews... and really anything that smells good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
i come from a french family... so i'm used to big portions and serving a four-course meal. seems like alot of people don't care for that these days.. so i'm getting down to just the entree in my house.
My cooking tragedies
everytime i cook something for the 1st time, i'm like everyone else...there are things i wish i would have added or not cooked it as long. i make notes of those and just learn from them.

Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Chops
this is AMAZING. we've had this a few times now and the few changes i make still make it great. i cover the top of the pork chops with just enough bbq sauce so they are fully covered, add 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup italian dressing, 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper, 4 cloves garlic and 1/2 large white onion. i cook for 2.5 hours alternating between high and low and they turn out perfect!! served with brown rice and asparagus..mhhmmmm! enjoy!!

Garlic Salmon
This is the best salmon recipe I've ever tried. It is wonderful!! I only used 1 pound of salmon and cooked for the full 25 minutes, added a touch of olive oil, left out the green onions and added a touch of crushed red pepper for spice. I also cut a few slits in the top of the salmon so the flavors would soak through. This hit the nail on the head..turned out amazing.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II
this was great!! I did change it up a bit. I didn't use poultry seasoning or paprika and I added a little extra garlic to substitue for garlic powder. I also added 1 cup of italian dressing and a pinch of cayenne pepper...and covered the pork chops with barbeque so they wouldn't burn like everyone suggested.
