About this Cook
I love to cook. I have been a homemaker since I was 17yrs. old. I live in beautiful Kalispell, MT.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, chicken and wait..uh, chicken. No really, I love to try and "tweek" new recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I try to make my own traditions...someday I hope my daughter and so on will use my ideas as tradition.
My cooking triumphs
When I was 17yrs. old, I entered a contest at the county fair. When I brought my entry, they told me there was no youth division for this catagory. But I was old enough to enter. I won Grand Champion! They presented my entry to the county commisioner and gave me the award during the town rodeo!
My cooking tragedies
I wish I could be humble and say I've had some tragedies....but the only one I could think of is if no one would eat my cooking. Hahaha. I'm not stuck up, I'm pretty good in the kitchen.

Spaghetti Squash Saute
great recipe! it makes a lot more than you would expect, but i just refrigerated the squash(not sauted) for next time. one little change for a different flavor...i used bacon fat instead of butter to saute the squash.

Pot Stickers Traditional
ARE YOU KIDDING?? these are perfect, easy and totally fantastic! I did not add the water chestnuts, cut everything super fine and DO NOT cook the pork first. If you don't want the oil and water to splatter when you add together, take the pan off the heat for 15 to 20 seconds..add water, cover..ALL GOOD. It really makes 15-16 little guys, takes about 10-15 minutes of cook time. SUPER-DUPER!

Oven Barbecued Beef Brisket I
This was the first time I tried this recipe. I didn't care for it much, I enjoy brisket the traditional way(boiled) but I tried it for my husband. He liked it. I used his favorite BBQ. The meat was tender enough, I just didn't like the flavor
