These cookies are wonderful. I carefully read other members reviews and the only change I made was added 1 teas. baking powder along with the baking soda and cream of tarter. They came out fluffy and soft. Very yummy! ***UPDATE** I made these again and due to diet changes I only have margarine in the house, I didn't think it would make much of a difference, boy I was wrong! It is VERY VERY important that you use only butter, no substitutes. Margarine turned them flat and crispy, despite that I use fresh baking powder & baking soda. Using butter keeps them soft & round.
