Grands!® Easy Taco Melts

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
Added a packet of taco seasoning, a can of corn, and some taco sauce. I was afraid they would fall apart because they were very full but they stayed together very well! Quick and easy recipe for leftover ground beef.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
Just made this pie and I'll definitely be saving the recipe! I did bake at 350 the whole time as others suggested, and added some cinnamon and nutmeg. The butter/sugar mixture was nice and thick, I couldn't stop sticking my finger in it! I mixed 3/4 of the mixture with the apples, then the remaining 1/4 over the top. For the lady who said hers was too runny, maybe it didn't simmer long enough? Just an idea, it's a great recipe!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
This is a good base but it was too bland for myself and my family. I upped the hot sauce quite a bit and added chives and black pepper. I also used chunky blue cheese instead of ranch, tasted just like wings. Yum!

Maple-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
This was really good! I am not a fan of pork since it tends to get dry but my husband likes it so I like to try it different ways. Still a little dry, but the flavors worked well.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
This was amazing, I added frozen berry blend (blueberries, raspberries, cranberries) atop the apples before adding the crumble and served it with vanilla ice cream on top. AMAZING, and super easy, thanks for posting!

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
This recipe is so easy and so good! I almost gave up at the sticky part but kept kneading and adding sugar until my arms hurt. It took longer than I thought! But it will be beautiful and delicious on my cookie favors. :)

Popcorn Snack Mix

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
This was REALLY good! Maybe I'm crazy but I doubled the caramel recipe, I like my caramel corn sticky. I added peanut m&ms to make it colorful for my son's birthday party and if I had pretzel rounds I think they would have been great in this as well.

The Best Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
I omitted the optional ingredients to go for a more simple salad, it came out really good! I've never made potato salad before, I'm pretty impressed with myself. I did add just a touch of red wine vinegar because I like a little acid kick in my salads. Thanks for the recipe!

Steff's Shepherd Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
The answer to every recipe on here seems to be cream of mushroom soup.. my husband and I think it's gross so I substituted a can of veggie soup. That covered the vegetable portion of the recipe as well. Add some more spices to your meat and you are good to go!

Taco Avocado Wraps

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
I mashed the avocado up with sour cream, salsa, salt, pepper, lemon and lime. I skipped the cream cheese since everyone had something to say about it. Spread on the wrap and added taco sauce, shredded cheddar and banana peppers. Not bad but I would definitely add meat and taco seasoning next time.

Angel Food Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
This is perfect for me because I am lactose intolerant. The cake was light, fluffy and delicious! I cut the recipe and half and almost screwed it up by beating in the dry ingredients instead of folding them in gently, I lost some volume but it still came out amazing. My husband and I ate it plain, we are usually chocolate people but this didn't even need anything extra. Any other beginners give it a shot, its hard to mess up!

Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
These were awesome! Very moist, I'm not sure how anyone had something bad to say about them. The only changes I made were less sugar because I added some hersheys chocolate syrup to the mix, and I subbed a cup of almond milk in place of the regular milk and vanilla extract. I also used hot cocoa mix with marshmallows instead of cocoa powder for a little extra something. I had to cook them a little longer than the recipe suggested but other than that the recipe worked out for me, the serving size was accurate.

I leave the tips on, mmm, bake at 450 and use blue cheese instead of vinegar in the sauce. My husband and I love these crisp wings, we make them every few weeks. Thanks!
