The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
After reading MANY reviews I decided on trying the recipe. I learned a long time ago not to dismiss the negative reviews even if there are only a few. I did add an extra cup of sugar as most suggested. I feel that if you are decorating the cookies with icing and sugar crystals, etc. as I did, next time I would add just a half a cup more of sugar. If you don’t plan on adding frosting and such, I think the extra cup would work out fine. I also added the extra teaspoon of vanilla (as others also suggested) which worked out fine. As for some of the negative reviews, sticky & puff up too much while baking..yes and yes. To solve both of those problems the dough MUST be chilled! It will only start to get sticky as the dough warms up to room temperature. As far as them baking puffy, if this happens roll them thinner. They end result is truly a delicious cookie. I almost moved on from this recipe due to the mixed reviews, it seemed too stressful. I am glad I stuck with it! I set the oven temperature at 375°F for ten minutes exactly (worked will with time and temp. in my oven).

Potato Plum Dumplings
I learned how to make these from my husbands "Oma". She never wrote down the exact measurements of her ingredients so I came on to try and find a plum dumpling recipe. I must say your recipe is a bit more delicious! Perfect...thanks for sharing!

Grandma Jeanette's Amazing German Red Cabbage
This recipe is just perfect. I will NEVER eat red cabbage from a jar again! It is easy to make and so very delicious. The only thing I would do different is cut the apples in quarters and when the cabbage is done remove apples. Thanks so much for sharing!!
