Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
My 12 year old son and I bake Chocolate Chip cookies ALL THE TIME and when I saw this recipe I simply had to try it. Needless to say my son was none too happy because he loved our old cookie recipe. He was so upset about trying a new cookie recipe that I actually had to promise to bake him a batch of his favorite recipe should he not like the taste of this cookie. Well I have to agree with most of the reviews...This was a TRULY AMAZING cookie. It was soft with an almost cake like consistency. I usually cannot eat cookies because I tend to choke on them but I was able to enjoy several cookies...NO MILK required. Both my Son and Husband have given this recipe 2 thumbs up. The cookie dough also freezes wonderfully. I bake approx 2 dozen cookies and froze the rest in snake size bags. That way whenever the boys are in the mood for cookies they can pull a bag of dough out of the freezer and bake it. A snack size bag of dough makes approx 1 dz med sized cookies or 8 large. The cookies taste fantastic both ways. I did not feel the need the change the recipe AT ALL. Why mess with perfection?

Cuban Black Beans II
I attemptd fresh cooked beans on several occasions and it always ended the the GARBAGE! I was really hesitant to give it another shot but I figured why not. It was a bit time consuming but worth it. I cooked them for over 4 hours on a low fire. If you follow the cook time your beans will be somewhat hard. I like my beans really tender. It was a really good recipe. I did not give it 5 stars because I did feel the need to tweek it a bit after tasting it. I decided to add an additional 1/2 tspn of Salt as I found it just a bit bland...I am not big on salt so 1/2 tspn did the trick. Also, I found the flavor to be quite good but it was missing I figured I'de add Cilantro, because that's the way my family cooks beans...and low and behold...IT WAS PERFECT!!!! Everyone at dinner was amazed by the taste and my son ate 3 servings. This is my worst critic people. Remember the beans that ended up in the Garbage earlier? He hated them that much and for him to eat 3 servings is unheard of. My entire family competes for his approval in the beans department and Mommie went from the bottom of the list to the top with this recipe!!!! You have got to try this!

Grandma's Iron Skillet Apple Pie
Super Easy to make and the taste is just Heaven. I have a really good Apple Pie recipe and I really did not want to try this because my other recipe is so good I did not feel the need to change it. Curiousty got the best of me after reading all the reviews and I figured why not?!?! Well needless to say my son claims this apple pie is 10 times better than my usual apple pie...I did not even think it was possible to top my old recipe. My husband was speechless after he tried it and later admitted it was the best pie he had ever tasted. I finally gave in and tasted it myself and only one word can describe this....WOW!!!! I will definetly be making this again. Thanks for posting. Word to the wise. DON'T CHANGE A THING! It's PERFECT as is :-)
