Sweet Corn Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2015
Not very corny tasting. I think next time I will add a small can of cream corn and cut back on the milk.

French Toast I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2015
We like to lightly toast the bread in the toaster before dipping in the egg mixture-less soggy that way.

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2015
I used a chocolate gluten free cake mix, as my son's girlfriend needs to follow a gluten free diet. She thought she had died & gone to heaven! It was delicious. The Heath bits in the bag, made it even easier to prepare.

Cheesy Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2014
I like to add quartered cherry tomatoes and frozen broccoli, for added flavor and color. Minced garlic adds to this too. You can add or take away ingredients to suit your family's tastes and this is still wonderful. I usually go with 12 eggs. Thanks for posting. :)

Corn Casserole I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2013
I made this for a Fourth of July bar-b-Q, it was the hit of the party! I doubled the recipe and I wish I would have tripled it. I did drain the whole corn, added some milk and reduced the butter. A package of Velveeta shreds, worked perfectly.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2013
We used a 10 lb., bone in, fully cooked, smoked ham. dumped the juice from the pineapple rings in and cooked for just under 4 hours on low. We took the foil off and turned it over once an hour, then put the foil back on. I think it was the best ham I've ever tasted. It was moist, sliceable and pink. PERFECT! My son, who is a picky eater, asked to take home leftovers-which he never, ever does. I wish the scalloped potatoes turned out as good. Oh well, can't win em all.

Easy Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
I double the eggs & cheese and just mix everything together and its perfect. My family likes it with sliced cherry tomatoes, mushrooms & little chuncks of ham, and I throw in some dried chopped onions and Mrs. Dash. I served these beauties at Christmas brunch for company and everyone LOVED it. So easy to change up ingredients, to suit your family's tastes. *****

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
Made this for a family bar-b-q last week-end. Everyone thought it was delicious, next time I think I will use the finely shredded cheese, as it was kind of hard to spread on the crackers. Rolling the ball in real bacon bits is a brilliant idea. I also threw in some minced onion & Mrs. Dash.

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
I have made this pie with bottled key lime juice and with fresh key limes. I found no difference in flavor and of course the bottled is so much easier. I also prefer the premade shortbread crust over the graham--but, each to their own. Everyone loves this pie! TIP-don't scrape the bottoms of the cans of sweetened condensed milk, there is gritty stuff that settles down there.

Easy Deviled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
We love the flavor of this dish and how wonderfully moist it is. We used the stuffing mix the first time, but found the sage flavor too overpowering for us, also the bottoms of the chicken breasts too soggy. So, to fix this, we used plain bread crumbs and baked on a rack. Added spices to fit our tastes. We usually only make 2 to 4 breasts, so the baking time is less. Thank you for this winner!

Watermelon Basket

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
This watermelon basket has always been a great addition to our graduation parties. I've never tried it with the fruit juice-I'm going to the next time I make it. Our family has always added fresh strawberries, grapes, cantelope and blueberries in addition to the watermelon and honeydew melon.

Cherry Delight Dessert

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
This desert brings back great memories-my mom would make this for her card club, and us kids would look forward to when the ladies left, so we could have some. When I make this I double the ingredients and put in a 9x!3 pan, and put half cherry and half blueberry pie fillings. So good.
