Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Delicious! I reduced amounts of chiles, omitted cayenne pepper, and added paprika, chopped green peppers and sweet corn. Perfect with corn muffins!

Mushroom and Leek Soup

I'd give 4.5 stars. I didn't have Orzo Pasta so used Barley instead. I also used different kinds of mushrooms since I live overseas. However, it tasted great. I think Sherry put wonderful flavors.

Nova Scotian Hodge Podge

I took someone's advice and didn't add all-purpose flour. I doubled the amount of green beans for not having wax beans on hands, replaced turnips with zucchini, used evaporated skim milk for cutting off some calories. Also I reduced butter to 4 tbs. However, it tasted good!

Pakistani Spicy Chickpeas

I had it with Grilled Bengali Style Eggplant (Got recipe from taste.com.au) and steamed white rice. I also added 1/2 tsp of lemon peel. Lemon peel added a nice flavor. It was delicious. It was good with a flat bread as well.

Pesto Sauce

Easy to make. I used sunflower kernels and it tasted great! I also like to use walnuts when I don't have pine nuts in hands.

Molasses Sugar Cookies

My family loved them! And it was the best molasses cookies ever! I used half shortening and half margarine, since I didn't have enough shortning on hands. It came out great though my cookies didn't get beautiful crackles. Also I baked for 10 mins to get chewy cookies. And 12mins to crispy ones.

Fresh Pea Soup

My soup tasted Bland. Perhaps I could add Chicken stock instead of just adding water. You must add whipping cream since it adds extra flavor.

Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

I took Linda's Advise and followed her direction. Pork became tender and it was delicious! One thing I changed was that I added 2 tbs of apple compote, since I didn't have apple juice nor an apple. The kraut was still tart to my taste so I added another tbs of brown sugar. Thanks Linda for your great advise.

Sweet Potato Minestrone

I was a little skeptical about making this soup when I first read the recipe. However, the sweet potatoes gave nice sweetness and aroma into the soup. It was really delicious. My family gave 5 stars as well.

Barley, Lentil and Mushroom Soup

I didn't add sherry. The soup was good, but I felt it lack of something. Probably a few drops of sherry would solve the problem. I live in the country side of Japan where it is a bit hard to find porcini and button mushrooms. I used Japanese mushrooms, such as shiitake and shimeji, though the soup tasted good.

30-Minute Minestrone

This is an easy and quick recipe. I liked it better using Italian Stewed Tomatoes. I got some advices and didn't add 3 cubes of beef bouillon. I only used 2 cubes, and the soup tasted good. Someone mentioned this as well, but the macaroni tends to soak up the water and becomes really huge when I had leftovers next day. My advice is eating up the soup on the day you make!? ;D

Apple, Cranberry, and Pear Crisp

That was really delicious. I used raisins because it was what I had on hands. Raisins gave extra sweetness and flavor into the crisp. Mmmm.... :)

Broccoli Quiche with Mashed Potato Crust

This is a time consuming recipe. However, the quiche is delicious and it is worth giving some efforts to make it. You can also twist this recipe easily by adding any vegetables you like. I like adding mushrooms and carrots.

Munn Cookies

This was the delicious crispy cookies. I like cookies crispier. I've tried several other lemmon (and lime) cookie recipes from this site, and they always turned out soft cake like cookies. But I made perfect crispy lemmon poppyseed cookies with this one. Thanks!

Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding

This was delicious! Everyone raved about this dessert. It smelled heavenly while I was baking it. I had it with the vanilla sauce, and it reminded me of the bread pudding which my host mother used to make. I homestayed in an American family when I was studying English in the States. My host mother was a great cook. She blessed me with wonderful American homestyle dishes. I loved everything she made. Anyway, this bread pudding tasted just like her famous bread pudding. :)
