Crispy Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
Delicious, but I didn't really follow the recipe, just used it for a basic idea. I cut my potatoes into 12 wedges, used olive oil, and then I used the spice mixture from "Spicy Chicken Breasts" from this site plus a little extra cumin. They didn't exactly turn out crispy but they are so ridiculously good.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
This was actually really really delicious. I used a 3 lb frozen turkey breast that I thawed, rinsed, and then patted dry. I rubbed olive oil all over it and then rubbed the onion soup mix all over it. I poured 1.5 cups of chicken broth in the crock pot, put the turkey in, and then surrounded it with a sliced up yellow onion. Cooked it on high for 30 minutes and then on low for another 6 hours. It was absolutely the very best thing ever. It completely fell apart when we sliced it and the entire thing was SO moist, juicy, and flavorful. It disappeared!

Spicy Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
Super spicy but my fiance and I both like spicy food. I made the spice mix and then put 2 chicken breasts, 1.5 tablespoons of the mix, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a big Ziploc bag. I smushed everything around so that it was evenly coated and then tossed it in the fridge for a couple of hours. I cooked ours on the stovetop for a few minutes on medium high (each side) and then with the lid on at medium/medium low until done. They were great! I also pounded out the breasts a little while they were still in the bag. I can't wait to toss a little of the spice mix (instead of just salt & pepper) into the normal lemon juice/olive oil marinade that I use for baked salmon.

Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
Great! My oven was in use so I couldn't roast the asparagus like I normally do. I used olive oil instead of butter (so much healthier), tossed in a few teaspoons of minced garlic, and squeezed half a lemon over it, then added two slices of lemon before sauteing it all over medium high, covered for most of it, for about 11 minutes. delicious! The lemon gives it such a bright flavor.

Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
I left the crust recipe as is but made 1.5 times the filling. I used a mix of lemon and lime juice (mainly lime) and no zest, just because I didn't feel like it. Delicious! So so so delicious.

Blueberry Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
My fiance said that this was "my ultimate favorite dessert". I made it in a 13x9 pan. I want to make a few changes next time...fresh, not frozen blueberries, and I want to double the batter and put the blueberries all in a layer in between the batters. May put half the streusel on between the layers and then drizzle with a vanilla glaze. Definitely will make again!
