Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini Deluxe

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2003
This was really good, and I could have made it better. I didn't have Cheddar cheese so I used Mozzarella instead. Also, next time I will use speghetti noodles. The linguini noodles were too thick. I didn't add water like most reviewers recommended, but next time I will add about 1/2 a cup. Overall, very tasty and my kids liked it a lot!. Makes a huge batch!

Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2005
I made this cheesecake yesterday and decorated it this morning. I then donated it to an auction for a local charity. It was absolutely gorgeous! I made the chocolate leaves and put them in a dollop of that yummy whipped cream mixed with Kahlua with more whipped cream around the edges. Then I drizzled melted chocolate over the top and sprinkled it with more crushed Oreo crumbs. DELICIOUS! It sold for $375.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
These were really good, but the dough was the best of all. My kids actually liked the cookies better without them being sandwiches. Next time I'll skip the filling and just make the cookie part, and double the recipe.

Creamy Spiced Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2007
This one is a definite keeper. I used half Miralcle Whip and half mayo, but next time will use only MW for more zestiness. I also diced some onion very fine and added that as well (had to make it more like mom's). Our guests thought I should market it and I'd be rich. I won't do that, but I will surely make it again and again. Thanks!

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
These were fantastic. And what's better is I made them in the morning and kept them in the fridge until my company came and then put them in the oven. Even the kids like them.

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
Excellent recipe! Made for my sons 16th birthday dinner and he approved! A bit messy and time consuming not to mention the oil gets dirty fast, but worth it. We used regular cocktail sauce and it was delish.

Tomato Basil Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
I'm not a tomato fan, but love growing them. Made this for a BBQ with everything in my greenhouse. I added a chopped zucchini and yellow squash, and some Feta cheese as well. Don't forget the sea salt and pepper. I tasted the dressing after making it and it was missing something. The S & P was it. My guests scarfed this up like it was going out of style.

Hearty Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2012
This is the first time I've made lasagna with egg and ricotta. No wonder my OTHER lasagna wasn't very good (made it like my mom used to). Well, it was terrific. I actually made 16 pans of this for a dinner and even the mayor complimented the "chef" during his speech. I will use this from now on. BTW...I made it a week ahead, I did NOT cook the noodles, I then froze it. I took it out the night before and placed in the fridge and then let it sit out all day. I baked at 325 for two hours and let sit 30 minutes before serving. Perfect.

Rubbed and Grilled Pork Loin

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
My husband bought a 7-lb pork loin on sale so I came to this site to find help. I was out of onion salt, and subbed parsley for the coriander. I seared as directed on a very hot gas grill, but because of the size I couldn't turn half the grill off. Instead I turned the heat to low and moved the roast to the upper rack to finish cooking. WOW is all I can say here! I cooked it fat side up and it came out fabulous. I will make tj again for company.

Hot Onion Pinwheels

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2001
The end result was really good, however, the recipe itself needed a lot of adjustments. First of all, you have to double the flour. There is no way you can get by with only 2 cups. Also, only use half the onions. 4 onions would be way too much. I also had to increase oven temp to 400 to get them brown. I will make them again, but now I know what to do next time.

Baked Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2001
This is a great recipe. It's just like the one my mom made when I was a kid. To make it a bit less bland, soak the raw potatoes in cold salt water for a couple hours. Drain them and par boil them with a can of chicken broth in the water. This gives the potatoes more flavor and cuts down on the baking time.

Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2002
This was excellent. I really loved the gingersnap crust! I added a little more spice and was glad I did...would have been too bland otherwise. A definite keeper. Thanks!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2003
These were VERY good. I don't usually like peanuat butter cookies (and that's why I make them -- so I don't eat them) but these were light on the "peanutty" flavor. I also added a few drops of vanilla (what's a cookie without vanilla in the mix?) and chocolate chips. My kids and hubby gobbled them up quick. Definitely a keeper! Thanx!!!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2004
Not many brownies I like but these were really good. I added about a cup of chopped pecans, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. I didn't think I'd like the frosting either, but that was really good, too. I'll keep this recipe close cuz I'll definitely be making these a LOT (tasted even better with mint choc. chip ice cream).

I made this for Easter and got rave reviews. This one is now in my recipe box and will use it again and again. It's flavor was tangy/sweet. Thanks for sharing.

Blueberry Dump Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2013
Could this get any easier? Very delicious, especially warm out of the oven. As one reviewer suggested, I mixed the yellow cake mix and butter in my food processor and it turned out great. I also used about five cups of berries because that's what I had so I just threw them in and it was perfect. The topping wasn't browned at 30 minutes of bake time so I added another 10.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2005
VERY good. I made it into dinner rolls instead of loaves because we had a huge ham for dinner and we all love leftover ham sandwiches on fresh rolls. I had to hide some of them because our guests were gobbling them up so quickly that I didn't think there would be any left. Very moist bread with a great homemade freshness to it. A definite keeper!

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2002
These were awesome! Very easy to make, but a little time consuming. I like that you can make them a day ahead to save time. They tasted great and looked nice on the buffet table. Will definitely make again and again.

Easy Morning Glory Muffins

I'm glad I found this recipe. These are soooo good and moist. Yes, they are time comsuming, but get the kids to help with some of the prep...it's good practice for them. Thanks!!!

Chrissy's Sweet 'n' Sour Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2001
This was one of those things where you just can't stop eating it. I brought it to a BBQ and everyone loved it. I also added some sliced yellow peppers, cucumbers, and zucchini from my garden. In fact, it was so good that I had to make it 2 days later for my husband. Great way to spice up those summer veggies!
