The Best Parmesan Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
I gave this recipe a 4, my hubby 3.5, but he doesn't love chicken parm anyhow. I LOVED the texture the croutons gave. they were crispy on the top, soft against the sauce. Yum. I loved this recipe for what it was. and it was super easy! I used newmans own organic marinara sauce, and did everything else according to the recipe. I did salt and pepper the chicken breasts thought. Would definitely make again

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
Delicious! I have tried several other recipes and like this one the best so far. I only had cooking wine, but it was still fantastic. I cooked the chicken, then put it in the oven to stay warm while i sauteed the crimini shrooms with some minced garlic. I doubled the sauce. and added a little chicken broth and a cornstarch slurry to thicken.

Naan

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
We make this every time we make indian food and my kids and the hubbs devour it! We cook it on our indoor grill pan on our gas stove and it makes the coolest markings on it. My husband says it's better than the naan we get @ the restaurant. We make this with an altered version of Indian butter chicken from this site. Indian food night is our favorite night.

Maple Cinnamon-sugar Baked Donuts

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
I give this a 5 for a baked donut. I have tried a lot of recipes. I think the sugar coating gives it just the right texture. The best I have tried. Best warm right after you coat them with the cinnamon sugar.

Rockin' Salsa

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
I am a 1st timer canning salsa and I liked that this recipe had cumin so I gave it a try and it is sooooo good. Followed recipe, but left out sugar because I don't like sweet salsa. Also subbed jalapenos for banana and added 2 T of cilantro, also added 5 garlic cloves. Added 3T of lime juice (at end of cooking time) Cooked for 1-2 hrs until I got the consistency that I like. I don't like watery salsa. Decided to pressure cook just to be safe. Thanks for a delicious recipe.

Raspberry Crumb Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
LOVED this! I had a few raspberries that I needed to use so I searched raspberry recipes and even though this one wasn't reviewed very much, I decided to give it a try and I am so glad that I did. I made it last Sunday and I am making it again today! Didn't have mace, so I subbed nutmeg, but followed the recipe other than that. I did put it under the broiler for a few minutes to crisp up the top. Delicious!

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
These were amazing! The hubs and I have tried so many different recipes and techniques for a good chewy chocolate chip cookie and these worked out perfect! I followed the recipe with the exception of 2 things that will help the cookie be chewier. I used one egg and one egg yolk, and also the 1tsp of mayo. When I formed into balls, I mashed the balls a little so they would bake evenly, and I only cooked for about 8-9 min, When edges start to crisp but middle is still soft. They look under done, but you let them cool on the baking sheet for 45 min to an hour. It seems like a lot of time, but works every time (learned from America's test kitchen) These were gone in 24 hrs. Thanks for such a simple but delicious recipe!

Colleen's Potato Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
These were amazing! My husband always asks for them on Sundays. I use instant potatoes and usually only raise them in the fridge for a few hrs until I am ready to make them. If I am on top of it, the night before. The only thing I add is a tbsp of dough enhancer for texture. Thank you, these are delicious!

Pasta Pomodoro

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
Oh my, so delicious! Only change I made was reduced pasta by about 1/4-1/2 and added a little more garlic and balsamic vineager cuz we love em. Right now I am wishing I had some leftovers. The hubs and I fought over the last scoops as it was. Served with "Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks" from this site, and garlic bread. So yum!

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
So AMAZING! I followed recipe to a T. I did let it cook for over 2 hrs and that helped it thicken up perfectly. Tastes like Wendy's Chilli (which I love!) Rave reviews from neighbors and the hubs.

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
I usually half this recipe for my small family, but this has become the most requested roll recipe from the hubs. I do add 1 tbsp of dough enhancer for texture. At times I do not have time to raise 3+ times. Even with one raise in the bowl and then a one raise for the shaped rolls, they turn out great.

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
Love these cookies. My husband took a bite and nodded his head and sighed as if he had been sent straight to heaven! disclaimer: I did not have time to make the dough, so I used my old cake mix cookie stand by for the chocolate cookie (one box chocolate cake mix, 1/3 cup oil and 2 eggs) Am I crazy in only getting 16-1 inch balls out of the filling? I even pulled out my ruler to see if I was making them too big, but I wasn't. Anyhow, wrapped the dough around the pb balls, flattened and then baked for 7 min. Perfection! Thank you!

Made this tonight an my 5 year old said "that was awesome!" Him and my 3 yr old fought over the last one. I also wanted it, but decided to be adult about it :) Followed recipe, used sour cream & onion chips, but added 1/3 of a ranch packet to the egg & milk Mixture and also salt and peppered the chicken before dipping. They were crisp and delicious. Served on a plate with 3 dipping sauces. I am a hero tonight. Thanks!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
LOVED these tacos! Threw everything in a crock pot and they were divine. Don't add lime until the end if you use the crock pot because it can taste funny if cooked for too long. I left all the spices as the recipe called for and I thought that the oregano was yummy, won't change it. My neighbor came over for leftovers and was amazed. She said "my tacos NEVER taste this good" this is a keeper for sure.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
These were a HUGE hit! My kids had a blast helping me make them. The key is to definitely roll them out super skinny (like your pinky width) It looks too skinny, but they puff up when they bake. I reduced baking temp to 415 degrees, and that seemed perfect. I have found that the amount of flour you need, depends on where you live and what kind of flour you are using. I had to use more than what the recipe called for to have the dough not be sticky. So, start with 4 cups and then adjust from there. I only wish they browned better. I will try an egg wash as another user sugg. next time. Can't wait to make them again.
