Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2012
WAY too salty!! The first time I made this, I followed the recipe to a T. After throwing out that batch, I made another batch with just a pinch of salt. Much better!!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
This delicious! I made the marinade exactly as the recipe said, but instead of marinading and grilling the chicken, I shredded some baked breasts that I had leftover from the previous night, and sauteed them with broccoli, onion, and red bell pepper. Served over brown rice. Fantastic!!

N'Awlins Stuffed Bell Peppers

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
I thought these peppers were delicious! I made them for about 20 people, and although next time I might spice them up a bit more, I thought they tasted great. I read a review that said that the stuffing needs to be made (meaning cooked) before adding to the meat and veggies, and that made for a moist filling, because you can make the stuffing as moist or dry as you want, depending on how much water you add. I also used the seasoned stuffing mix because I couldn't find the plain. Also, I flash boiled the peppers before baking and only baked them for 30 minutes.

Olive-Cucumber Tossed Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
This is a good salad, but next time I think I'll buy the olives already cut up and save myself a little time! Otherwise, it was easy and tasted great!

Creole Okra

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
This stuff is delicious! It's not nearly as slimy as other okra dishes, and it has lots of flavor. I used the canned diced tomatoes with jalapenos and that added a bit more spice to the recipe.

Bloody Mary Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
This recipe was good, but I have to admit I expected a little more flavor. I will make it again, but perhaps marinate it overnight first!

Mahi Mahi with Onions and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
This recipe is fantastic! I used lime juice instead of lemon juice, and added a little more white wine than was called for, and it turned out great. I also added a little bit of cilantro which went well with the lime flavor. We loved it, and will definitely make again!

Best Cherry Pie

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
This pie is easy to make and tastes wonderful! The only thing I've changed is to cut back a little on the sugar as suggested by other reviewers, and I also added a little cinnamon and nutmeg to the filling. It came out fantastic!

Baked Beans II

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
This recipe is great, however I've made a few modifications that have made it even better! 1. it's not really necessary to use as much bacon as the recipe calls for. If you cut the bacon in half it still tastes the same, and is not quite as bad for you! 2. always drain the bacon grease before adding the onions, and always drain the sauce from the canned beans before adding them, or the recipe comes out too soupy. 3. I think the mustard taste is a little strong, so I cut back on the mustard just a tad. I've made this recipe several times for about 20 people, and everyone loved it!
