White Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
I have made this cookie with and without the chips. I made a double batch, make roundish balls of dough with my mini-ice cream scooper and freeze the balls on a cookie sheet. Once they are frozen solid I put them in a zip lock bag and make them a dozen at a time in the toaster over.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
I use this recipe as a base for a bunch of different muffins (banana, blueberry, pumpkin etc....). I use the tool that allows you to change the portions and make a big container full and then add the oil, egg and fruit or veggie I want to add. I do the same with the crumble topping in another container. I can make a couple of homemade muffins in the toaster oven in about 12 minutes.

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
I didn't have the correct sized pan so I used the handy tool of changing the portions. I used 1 1/2 of the ingredients and it turned out very well. I tried a recipe similar to this that you have to roll up etc... and I wasn't able to do it correctly. This recipe tastes just as great but it's much easier. This is a recipe I will definitely use a lot in the Fall.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
This soup has only a few ingredients but so tasty. I only use half the amount of cream cheese so the squash flavor isn't overpowered by the cream cheese. I use a stick hand blender rather than a regular blender. I always manage to burn myself when I use the blender on hot ingredients. On occasion I add a little curry for a different zing. This is a recipe that I use every fall.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
I didn't think you really needed a recipe for this dish and just through stuff together. I used this recipe and realized the recipe is much better than when I wing it. It is very tasty. I would never use the boxed version after eating the real thing.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
I had never heard of this dish until recently. It is very much one of those Southern comfort food type dishes. Easy to make and tasty.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
I make this recipe every Christmas and everyone likes it. I tend to over bake it so be careful and keep an eye on it.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
I use this recipe when I'm having company and I want to serve chili. It has a very large number of ingredients which is the only reason I didn't rate it five stars. It is really worth the effort.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
I had never made Shepherd's Pie before using this recipe. After using this recipe I haven't looked any farther for another recipe to try because this one was so good.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
I have used this recipe apx. 100 times over the last several years. I don't even try other brownie recipes. I nuke the butter in a rubber bowl and add the other ingredients. The brownies are so good I don't bother with frosting them. I printed this out and the card is warped, stained and floppy from using it so many times.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

A friend recommended this recipe. I made it tonight on our Big Green Egg and my husband kept saying things like, "Excellent! Awesome! and Incredible!!". This is definitely a do-over.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

This recipe is excellent. I like that you can use the pre-packaged shredded cabbage. I have used regular and purple cabbage and it was tasty both ways.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
This is a great, simple recipe. After trying this I don't see the point of using "instant pudding". The ingredients are things I have on hand. I strongly recommend this recipe.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
After reading other reviews I doubled the sauce portion for this recipe. I also boiled the chicken and veggies in the broth. I saved the broth and used it in the sauce. I also just added the onions to the broth and didn't bother cooking them in the butter. I used a store brand roll out pie crust. This was a major hit at a party. Several people asked me for the recipe and said they didn't know why they don't make pot pie and they will start making it with this recipe. After making this (again) I'm going to use this recipe of the inside of the pot pie and make it into chicken and dumplings. Thanks for sharing!

This cake turned out very dry. Maybe sponge cake is supposed to be dry? I won't use this recipe again.

Butternut Squash Cajun Fries

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
These "fries" came out very mushy and not at all crunchy. My oven temp may be to blame. The addition of the cajun spice was very tasty and I will use this combo in the future but won't make "fries".

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
This is now my go to recipe for chocolate cake. Since using it for my mother's birthday cake I have used the recipe about 3 times in 3 weeks. Very moist. I made it into a bundt cake (bake for an hour) and drizzled it with the allrecipe recipe for satiny glaze.
