The Best Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2010
Great basic potato salad recipe. I didn't include the olives or pepperoncinis. Instead of regular ranch dressing, I use peppercorn ranch, which just added a little extra kick. This is now my "go to" potato salad recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: May 8, 2010
Excellent recipe, common ingredients. I also liked the fact that these potatoes aren't drowning in cheese and bacon. I took the advice of another reviewer and sauteed the onions in the butter before adding flour. I also added a splash of hickory-flavored BBQ sauce for an extra kick of flavor. Thanks for posting!

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
Great recipe! I added some bread crumbs and italian cheese on top, and I only baked it for about 30 minutes instead of an hour (enough to brown it a bit). I can see myself adding broccoli or some other veggies next time.

Best Ever Shrimp Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
What a quick and easy recipe! I agree with others who said the mayo needs to be cut in half. I would also use less cream cheese. Despite that, this dip disappeared fast at my most recent dinner party, and I will definitely be making this again.

Strawberry Bread

Got great reviews with this recipe, which I brought to a family dinner. I did bake it for a bit longer, as previous reviewers suggested, and it came out great.

Chicken Egg Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
Using crescent rolls as the crust was brilliant. I didn't have any thick-sliced ham, so I used regular thin-sliced lunchmeat and cut it into strips, which worked just as well.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
This was my first experiment with monkey bread, and my brunch guests raved over it. I added raisins and omitted the nuts, but stayed true to the rest of the recipe.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
This recipe gets five stars because, as you can see, different cooks can take it in a variety of directions. I cook the chicken breasts in a slow cooker and use the leftover broth instead of store-bought broth. I also use a Lipton-style chicken-flavored rice packet. I will make this soup again and again.
