French Pastry Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
SUPER, SUPER, SUPER!!!! I have tried at least three different pie crusts and they always fell apart. I was beginning to give up on ever being able to successfully make a homemade crust, but then I tried this recipe....I will definitely always use it in the future and will be sure to tell all my friends about it too!

Fish with Lemon Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
It was good but there was too much lemon juice!! I used 2 tablespoons bottled lemon juice and it was very sour...next time I will use only 1 tbs....but I will make it again.

Crema de Calabazines

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
This is a very tasty soup:) And incredibly easy and fast. Instead of the cheese, I used 6 fluid oz milk with 2 tablespoons cornstarch. I will definitely make it again!

Zucchini Relish

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Since I'm not a big fan of raw zucchini and onions I decided to try this in the skillet. Seasoning was wonderful and the vegetables complement one another well!

Simple Mexican Rice

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
This recipe really was easy and made with ingredients right at hand. Instead of cumin I used coriander so the flavor was a little lemony. But I still thought it was great. Will make again.

Dirt Cake I

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
This created such a sensation here in Germany! Everyone thought I had just brought a potted plant to the picnic potluck. I was a little nervous about the taste because I had never made it before and I haven't eaten dirt cake for YEARS! But it was perfect...just like I remembered! Will definitely make again.

Peanut Butter Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
These were fantastic! Even my husband who doesn't like peanut butter at all really enjoyed them. And just a tip for anyone else feeling creative...for 6 of the muffins I filled the muffin cups half with batter then a dollop of Nutella and then more batter on top. It was like Peanut Butter Cup Muffins:)

Lemon Chocolate Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
The concept of this recipe is great. However, I made the following changes so that I wouldn't have to deal with the batter being too runny: Mix together with a beater 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter, 1/3 cup milk, 1/4 cup lemon juice, and 1 egg. Then add 1 3/4 cups flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp salt. Fold in chocolate chips at the end. This makes it so that the recipe is really a drop cookie recipe. The flavors actually do blend well together ( I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first). Thanks for the idea!

These muffins were perfect! I took them on a camping trip and everyone loved them. I also liked that they weren't too sweet but just right. I will definitely make these again.

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2008
This was awesome! It turned out perfectly especially since I followed the suggestion to coat my pie crust with melted chocolate first.

Chewy Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
I made this recipe and was disappointed. The cookies came out like normal chocolate chip cookies, they were not chewy and soft like I expected. I will continue to use my old tried and true recipe since I like the flavor of the cookies from it better.

Sausage Gravy I

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
This recipe was really easy. I didn't have any sausage in the house so I used 1/2 lb. ground beef seasoned with thyme instead. I also didn't use bacon grease...I used margarine instead. Still turned out great over biscuits. Thanks!
