Silver's Savory Chicken and Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
This was tasty. I used whole wheat pasta, and just two large chicken breasts, fresh broccoli instead of frozen, added fresh mushrooms, and made about 1.5 times the called for sauce. When I make it again, I think I will steam the broccoli for a minute or two because the broccoli was just a little too crisp. But overall, it was good.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
This is a really good recipe, and I make it fairly often, but I make a few changes. First, I don't use chili paste, I use a few dashes of ground cayenne pepper. I also don't use Udon noodles, I just use whatwver kind of noodles I have a home. Then I saute some veggies on the side, usually mushrooms, onions, carrots, broccoli and cook a chicken breast and cut it up. I Double the amount of sauce the recipe makes and I add the meat & veggies to the noodle & sauce mixture. It is excellent.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

This recipe is awesome and is so easy! I just threw all of the ingredients in a large Ziplock bag let it sit for about an hour and it was amazing!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
It was ok. Too sweet for my husband and I, and we used tomato sauce instead of ketchup and only half of the sugar to prevent that. I will not make it again.

Beer Dip II

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
This is really good, but I changed it a little bit. I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese, half of the ranch powder and double the amount of beer. I used Miller 64 to try to cut out a few more calories. It has to sit out for a while to be soft enough to dip things in. I used "Everything" Pretzel crackers. It was great, lots of compliments.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
Very good. I used a 2.5 pound roast so I thought it wouldn't have to cook as long. Even though the meat was "cooked" before the amount of time was done it was too tough. I left it in for the advised amount of time and it got soft and just melted in your mouth. It was excellent.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
I could not make this recipe the way it was called for. I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese and only half a cup of blue cheese dressing. Now, I enjoy my unhealthy dips and dishes, but this was almost too much for me to enjoy. I love buffalo wings, and was willing to forget how fattening it was for something that tasted amazing, but this isn't amazing. It's good, but to me, not worth it.

Easy Cajun Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
I don't feel I can give this 5 stars because I didn't follow this recipe exactly (no chicken, used diced/frozen veggies, precooked rice, half the chicken broth) but it was still amazing! I will make this again!

Beef Taco Skillet

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
very good base recipe, but would have been very bland without adding taco seasoning. Use "Taco Seasoning I" from Bill Echols on this website (so good!). Also added half can of corn and half can of black beans. topped with sour cream and crumbled tortilla chips. Very tasty. I ate with with a fork, my husband scooped it with tortilla chips. Good either way. Will make again.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This was so easy and so good! We used two cans of diced chicken that we had in our cabinet (wasn't sure how that would be) and it was great. It didn't even need the sour cream or cheese on top, although I did crumble a few tortilla chips on my bowl. So overall it was pretty healthy and delicious. And I used the Bill Echols taco seasoning- which is the only one I use. I don't even buy the packets anymore becasue that taco seasoning recipe so easy and delicious.

This soup was tasty, but I wouldn't call it Beer Cheese soup, I would call it cheesy vegetable soup with a hint of beer,

Roasted New Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
Very good. I cut them into small pieces, and I seasoned them with garlic powder, black pepper & onion salt. The cooked perfectly, although I think it would have been a problem if I had left them in bigger pieces.

Easy Quiche

This was great! I had fresh not frozen broccoli, so I steamed it a little before I added it. I also didn't have a whole cup of parm., so I just added a little more cheddar. I also added a little garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and mustard powder. It was amazing. This is a keeper!

Unbelievably Good Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
This had a wonderful taste. There were little lumps in the dip that I couldn't get rid of, but I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese, and I think that may be why. Even though there were lumps, it tasted delicious. If I made it for company again, I would use regular cream cheese.

Simple 'N' Delicious Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2011
Not bad. I made it in a bundt pan becasue I liked the look of it that way in some of the pictures. Maybe that affected it, becasue it was a little dry...? I topped it with buttercream frosting and it wasn't bad. I would make it again, but put chocolate chips in it and try a different pan.
