It set nicely but I was not too impressed with the flavor.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
I have made this a few times and it came out great every time. It gets darker then normal banana bread because of the brown sugar. The flavor is wonderful. It is easy to make. I add walnuts for the added surprise.

Thick Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
This is the first time I made pudding and it came out great. It is easy to make and tastes better then the boxed pudding mixes. I will make this again. I added graham craker crumbs to mine to make it more of a "pie."

Churros

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
They fell apart in the oil. I followed the recipe but it did not work. Will not make again.

Fortune Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
I am giving this 4 stars because they tasted good but they did not shape well for me. I think it was may pans that over cooked them and burnt the bottoms. They are good and I will try them again once I get different pans.

Popcorn Macaroons

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
With a little more work, these can be a five star. I liked the texture and the slight crunch of the popcorn, but they were too salty. They needed less salt and more sugar. I might try these again.

Tropical Coleslaw

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
I made a few adjustments based on what I had on hand. I used 2 small honeybell oranges instead of the canned oranges. Also, I cut fresh pineapple into small pieces. I didn't soak the banana in lemon juice because I put some in the slaw when I mixed the yogurt into it. It is good but will be better when I have it with dinner and it is softer.

Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
I made this for my mom and she loved it. I choose it because there is no cinamon or nutmeg in it. It is sweet and creamy. You can compare it to a baked french toast. Next time I might try putting some type of fruit in it. I will make this again.

Crusty White Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
I am not a big fan of white bread but this one came out great. It was nice and soft on the inside and crusty on the inside. I used it for bread pudding and it worked out well. I will keep this recipe for further uses.

Soft Giant Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
These are the best homemade pretzels. They are chewy and soft. I have made them many times and have always gotten rave reviews. They are gone within the hour. I brush them with melted butter and sprinkle the salt on before I bake them. It gives them a deep golden brown color and makes them extra tasty. *For those without a bread machine: combine the yeast, water and sugar in a bowl and let sit until it is foamy. Add your flour until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Knead it until smooth on a lightly floured surface. Place in a greased bowl and cover for 45-60 mins or until doubled. Then continue following the directions.* The water/soda bath is an important step because it helps the rising of the pretzels in the oven.

Bow-Tie Pasta With Red Pepper Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
This was really good. I added red pepper flakes to give it some spice. Also, I substituted the peas with brocoli. I will be making this again. It is a good change instead of using tomato pasta sauce.

Apple Butter I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
I made this but scaled it down to only use 3 apples. I omitted the nutmeg because I am not a big fan of it. Also, I used only a little sugar since the apples are somewhat sweet on their own. It is good and I will make it again.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
I have made a couple other pizza dough recipes and this is the best. It is easy to make. I made it with whole wheat flour and bread flour. This will be the recipe I will use for all my homemade pizzas.

This was really good and easy to make. I gave it 4 stars because I added sugar to get the yeast foamy. They are really good with soup or plain.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
These were better then manwhich. I made them with turkey instead of beef and added a jalapano pepper, half green pepper, and one plum tomato. I will make these again. Thanks for the recipe.
