About this Cook
I have always hated cooking. It takes too much time, I get frustrated if it's not a hit with everyone.... but then I discovered this recipe web site. I suddenly have found a new passion for cooking. For 20 years my husband did 95% of the cooking so he is loving life now. I can find a recipe for what I have in my fridge and cook dinner quickly at the click of my mouse. I LOVE it !!!!!!!!
My favorite things to cook
Don't know yet.... mostly chicken dishes for health reasons.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chicken and dumplings and apple pie is the only thing I did well for years. Maybe I should post my recipes. Oh ya and I do make a mean Ossobucco.
My cooking triumphs
Everything I cook from this site has been a huge hit so far!
My cooking tragedies
Just about anything I tried, but I was stubborn and hated reading recipes. Now with this site it is all made so easy.

Roasted Sweet Potato Corn Chowder
This recipe is a bit time consuming but WELL worth the effort. A perfectly hearty soup for the winter. Don't let "vegan" scare you from this. I have made it multiple times and all I think is YUMMMMM. It also holds up very well for several days and trully only gets better. I have served it at dinner parties and I get nothing but compliments and people begging me for the recipe. SUPER AWESOME!!!!! The only changes I make is I add more sweet potatoes and corn. I like it super chunky. I love to serve it with a roasted beet salad. It is a perfect partner.

Thai Peanut Dressing
I make this all the time. I make extra and keep it in a water bottle to store in the fridge. What a great quick salad dressing or to toss in with stirfry. AWESOME!!!!!
