Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
I followed Jillybean14's recommendations and also added some crushed red pepper to it to give it some kick. It was fantastic! I will definitely make again the next time I need a hearty meal!

Amber's Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
The chicken came out kind of gooey and clumped together. It tasted fine, but what went wrong? I will have to try again to see if I can make it better.

It was a little bland as written, but the taste was great after I added some seasonings to it.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
I was a bit worried about this, after reading some of the negative reviews, but it turned out well. It had a nice flavor to it. I do not think it is anything I would add to our weekly rotation, but it is a nice alternative.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
By far superior to the recipe I was using before. My wife has been begging me to make it at least twice a week since. The only suggestion I have is that you take at least an hour to carmalize the onions (definitely use vidalias too-they sweeten the soup). It brings out the flavor so much more. Also, spend the money to get a really good gruyere...it makes a big difference.

This was very good, though I only made half the amount of noodles, per reviewers' recommendations.

Pizza Without the Red Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
OMG! So very good. I put artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, salami and mushrooms as toppings. But the thing that made it was the sauce.

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
This recipe took quite a long time to make, but it was well worth it. My wife was not really into the recipe, but as they say, there is no accounting for taste. It just was not her thing. But I loved it. The sauce was unbelievably tasty. And the meat turned out very tender.

Mom's Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
This is the best apple pie I have ever eaten. My wife has chained me in the kitchen and forced me to make them every night this week. They are so amazingly good. I was worried at first that the sauce would not be enough. You do not have the "gravy" that you normally get with apples in the can. But trust the recipe...the sauce is plenty. Oh, and I hate eating old pies and I especially hate throwing away old pies, so I took small 4 inch custard bowls and made personal pies. They ended up looking great and tasting better!

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
I really liked these, though many people who tried them were not really impressed. I made double the amount of sauce and used the left over amount as a dip. I think the honey taste is something you either love or dislike.

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
Nice recipe. I added mushrooms, because I love mushrooms, and we added cayenne pepper, because my wife is addicted to spicy food; but even without those additions it was very good.

Very good recipe. They are a lot of work, so I won't make them on a weeknight again, but quite tasty.
