I couldn't wait to taste the recipe as it was cooking. It smelled soooo good. I did a couple of substitutions/additions.
I added 1/4 roll of breakfast sausage and 1 link of link breakfast sausage. I also added frozen whole kernel corn based off another review. Lastly, I used 1 can of kidney beans (as opposed to 2 cans garbanzo beans) because it's what I had on hand and I don't like a lot of beans in soup.
I also used canned chicken broth, about 6 ounces of can beef broth and skipped the water.
I also used one can of Mexican Rotel (with the cilantro) and Hot Rotel that added some additional kick on top of the cayenne.
Topped with shredded cheese. Will definitely share and use this recipe again. Thanks!
