Sour Cream Lemon Pound Cake with Cherry Compote

This looks terrific. Since it is a lemon cake, I think it would be great with blueberry sauce. For pishposh12, this is a pound cake so the consistency will be denser than a quick bread.

Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs

This is a good recipe. If you want your ribs faster, you can cut the ribs into 2 or 3 rib sections. Add salt, pepper, onion etc. to each section and wrap individually in foil. Place the pieces, seam side up, in a roasting pan (doesn't matter if you stack them on top of each other) and bake at 275 degrees for 2-3 hours. Then remove them and continue with this recipe in the oven, basting with bbq sauce.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

I have made this recipe for years. When I received this recipe from a friend the title was 5 day potatoes. I have made them up to five days ahead with no problems. One time I even froze them. The texture was a little different but the taste was just as good.

Baked Mashed Potatoes

I make these by also adding 1 1/2 cups of sour cream. I have made them up to 5 days ahead and I have also frozen them......no problems. I also use onion salt instead of grated onion. Sprinkle some dabs of butter and paprika on before baking. These are fabulous.

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

I made this last night. It was pretty good. I took the suggestion of cutting way down on the butter and using equal parts of honey and mustard. Even my husband liked it, and he's not a big chicken fan.

since i don't drink alcohol i make this with sprite or 7-up instead of the vodka. they serve this at Red Lobster as a beachcomber. i love it! as one member said, be sure to use pure cranberry juice.
