Slow Cooker Tamale Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
As a kid I loved tamale pie BUT it had NO beans So did not use them I did use whole kernal corn. I included chilies I also added black olives.I live alone so I eat it for a couple days. It gets better , I froze the left overs. I'll let you know how that comes out. I liked it and will make it again.

Hard Taco Shells

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
I have never bought these pre-made This is exactly how I have made them all of my life. (I'm 65) My mother was raised in Mexico with her parents leasing oil fields, She had a native maid and cook. I just wish I'd learned more from her. (My mother.) She was such good cook. But I was young and didn't listen, like every one else. We never added salt though

Homemade Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
I'm 66 years old and have eaten these ALL my life. My mother taught me how to make them. As my grand mother taught her.The only difference is for every 1 egg and 1 cup flour we add 1/2 egg shell water. All 4 of my son's like them. In fact my mother made them and my youngest son told me he liked mine better. I was in heaven because I got my Mama's HaHa I boil the meat (chicken hamburger or beef) and cook my noodles in the broth after the meat is done.
