About this Cook
Getting married in July and still adjusting to cooking for 2! I suppose cooking is like riding a bike because it has all come back.
My favorite things to cook
I love 'comfort' food cooking for a small dinner event. I also like baking and have just completed my first cupcake cake which was a total blast.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Not really a tradition but my fiance and I have really enjoyed cooking together. We both have different strengths so our combined dishes are superb!
My cooking tragedies
Oh where to begin :-) Isn't that what makes us good cooks???

Crab Salad III
EXCELLENT!!! Made for a family bbq and everyone loved it. I tweaked the recipe a bit. Added red pepper instead of green, used an Italian seasoning blend, used IMO instead of sour cream, green onions, and used more crab. Left out the vinegar, tomatoes and lemon juice. Don't be afraid to play with it.

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries
Great dish! I served this with beef kabobs and my fiance and friends who don't even like sweet potatoes enjoyed these! I think I added a little more of the spices than called for but...I'm a spice girl :-)

Secret Ingredient Pico de Gallo
GREAT recipe! I loved the tang and zip the dill pickles gave it. I also added a little shredded cabbage to add more body. Instead of the traditional taco fillings, we layered the taco meat and the pico de gallo and it was fantastic!! Next time I think I may add a little chili powder too.
