Famous Pork Chops

This is an excellent recipe. Forget shake and bake. We used the Costco 1" boneless pork chops mallet tenderized. Two eggs is enough for four pork chops and I used Ritz Crackers. I used garlic powder instead as my family are not big salt users. I followed some users ideas and took the tin foil off at the last 10 minutes to brown up. Phenominal recipe. I tried this recipe again and opted to marinate the pork chops before breading them. I salt and peppered them, then added fresh chopped garlic and marinated for a couple hours. Then followed the recipe the same. Turned out more flavorful.

The World's Best Turkey

I have made this recipe for the last 5 years. I have perfected it over the years. First I brine the turkey for a day before using Apple brine for the turkey the night before also found on this site. I then inject the bird with a whole bottle of Tony Chacheres Creol butter injection. I mixed in 2 tbls chopped garlic with the butter before I put it under the skin. I use one apple and red onion sliced in the cavity. I also put the turkey breast side down for half of the cooking time and then flip in over for 1/4 of the time. The remaining quarter I remove the turkey from the bag to allow the skin to brown. I also leave the turkey in the oven for an hour after its done to cool. I use a Brut champagne and I use the whole bottle for an 18-22 pound turkey. This makes the best juiciest turkey every time. I do not flour the bag or cut slits in it. I only baste the last 30 minutes of cooking. The juices make wonderful gravy and also stuffing.

Snickerdoodles I

These were awesome cookies. I followed the receipe to the tee with the exception that I added about 1/4 tsp nutmeg and used the butter flavored crisco. Don't know if it made a difference but these were wonderful. Super soft. DO NOT cook them over 8 minutes. I used my convection oven and Pampered Chef Bar pan with no spray. I used a ziplock bag to coat the balls 4 at a time. My recipe yielded 30 cookies. Use the bread method to keep them soft if they last that long. Thanks again for a wonderful recipe.

Anna's Linguica and Potato Stew

This recipe was a wonderful comfort food. I used Hot linguica which gave it a nice kick. I also only used 1 pound of white potatoes. The second time I made it, I added a can of hominy. The flavor was incredible. It was great with sourdough bread. I wanted a little more sauce so I used 1 cup wine and three cans tomato sauce. This recipe does taste better over time. The second and third days later were even better. Thanks for a great recipe.

Wonderful Short Ribs

I love the flavor of the recipe. It was great with Basmati rice. However, that cut of meat is my only complaint. Super fatty. So I tried it with tender steaks and cooked it on low in the crockpot for 6 hours. Again the flavor of this marinade is wonderful. Thanks for a great recipe.

Lamb Ribs with Honey and Wine

The flavor of the marinade is phenomenal. However, the cut of meat was way too fatty. I basically cooked lamb flavored fat. I think this recipe would be wonderful with thick cut boneless pork chops instead. Like I said the flavor was awesome but the meat that I purchased was pure fat.

Slow-Cooked Short Ribs

This recipe was wonderful. I also did not brown the ribs prior so I omitted the flour salt and oil. I also only used a 1/3 cup vinegar. These were a little fatty but still very good. The meat fell off the bone. I added carrots about 1 1/2 hours prior to the end of cooking and we served it over rice.

Tanya's Boneless Short Ribs

This recipe was fabulous. The meat was so tender but of course with this cut of meat a little fatty. The flavor was wonderful and a little bit of the sauce served over white rice made a quick and yummy dinner. Definately would make again.
