Cream Cheese Frosting II

This recipe is -definitely- for those who like actual cream cheese taste to their frosting. I added about 1/2 of a teaspoon extra vanilla and 1/2 of a cup extra confectioner's sugar and it came out -superb.- It tastes like very creamy cheesecake.

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Admittedly, the first time I made this it was a failure (I am the queen of making bad eggs--it was my fault so not the reason I just give it a 4/5) but the second time I made it and succeeded. This recipe is excellent for vegetarians (vegans could find a substitute for the eggs), and is even better when you add more vegetables and use chicken stock. :) I give it 4 out of 5 simply because the recipe as is--sans the chicken stock and sans other veggies -- can be somewhat tasteless even with the soy sauce.

Bob's Awesome Lasagna

Very very good lasagna. I, like many others, tweaked it a bit -- I used twice the sauce, twice the cottage cheese, and along with one pound of hamburger I used one pound of Italian sausage. I also chopped some veggies up (spinach and peppers) to throw in it. My friends loved it!

Spooky Witches' Fingers

These were easy to make, I'll give them that, but honestly I could barely taste anything but flower, baking powder, and salt. My roommate and I both tasted the dough before we put it in the oven and decided this, so I added some more butter, sugar, and extract (both kinds), blended it, and then tested it again and it still tasted salty but less so. We went ahead with baking them then and when they were done they -looked- awesome. But then we ate them and...despite are additional extracts...they were utterly tasteless except for salt and flour. We did only use a teaspoon full, so I don't know what particularly happened but...I'm not going to be trying this recipe again.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

I have now made this recipe twice (the first time I had a brainfart and used regular sugar instead of confectioners' but it still worked out wonderfully) and the pie disappears incredibly quickly. My friend is a major Reese's cup lover, and this is her favorite pie. We use a chocolate crust, and then cover the top with chocolate syrup. Sooo goood.

Deviled Eggs

I've made a few different kinds of deviled eggs, and I just keep coming back to these because they have the quintessential taste that I love. Per the other reviewers I added just a bit less than an 1/8th teaspoon of salt and it was absolutely perfect. That was the only change I made to the recipe -- otherwise it has the perfect taste.

Tara's Sweet and Chunky Chicken Salad

This was fantastic. I'm not a big fan of chunks of onions (weird, I know) so I used a little bit of ground onion seasoning instead and, like another reviewer suggested, added some sliced celery. It turned out -delicious-.

Corn Nuggets

Like most of the other reviewers, mine didn't actually hold together at all. I kept adding milk, and that failed too. This is definitely not a good corn nugget recipe.

Vicki's Hush Puppies

These were fantastic on their own -- which is saying something because I -hate- onions -- but after making the recipe as is and using the first half to make some hush puppies, I decided to throw in some creamed corn (just so that when I tasted something crunchy my mind wouldn't immediately go EW ONION) and that made them even better in my opinion. Absolutely wonderful recipe!

Golden Yam Brownies

These things are absolutely delicious. I followed some of the other reviewers' suggestion and lowered the amount of sugar -- I used 3/4s of a cup of each, and they're still a little too sweet but nothing not tolerable and I know if I lower it more they'll be absolutely fantastic. I'm totally going to make these again.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Fantastic. I make this pretty regularly because it's delicious and you can easily keep it in the fridge and heat up chunks of it over the next week to eat for snacks/lunch. I use a cup and a half of hot sauce, just mix the cheese in, and boil chicken before hand and then shred it with my hands. Also, I've made this several times for parties, and other reviewers keep complaining about the orange color but...no one has ever complained about the color? Oh well!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

This was fantastic! I made it as is the first time, and it was absolutely delicious. The second time, I had an issue with my crockpot that caused it to burn the chicken. Now my third time I used the honey barbecue sauce recipe found on the site for the barbecue sauce, just used cheap Italian dressing and put it in my new crockpot with a little bit of onion and some anaheim pepper and left it for four hours and came back and shredded it. DELICIOUS.

Miracle Baking Powder Pie Crust

Wellllll...This was easy to make, certainly. I used half butter/half lard as was suggested by many other reviewers, but the crust didn't come out flaky at all -- it came out very hard, and tasted remarkably like saltines. My roommate remarked that it "wasn't bad" and it was certainly -edible- albeit not tasty -- thus the 3star rating, but it's not something I'd make again.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

I've made this a few times now, so I just thought I'd chime in with a more in depth review. This recipe is DELICIOUS as is. Seriously delicious -- I made it as is the first time and it was fantastic. The second time I added some garlic and extra chicken broth and that just made it like...delicious x 50. Now a few times later, I add more vegetables (like a half cup more celery and some corn), more broth, and a good bit of garlic powder, and it is as perfect as perfect can be. Seriously -- try this recipe :)

Clone of a Cinnabon

I didn't have a bread machine, so I used other reviewers suggestions and put the yeast into some warm milk and mixed all the stuff in. I also turned the oven to 200F and then turned it off before letting the dough rise. My dough got HUGE. More than doubled in size. Then when I rolled it out I ended up getting, like, 20 rolls. I, like others, mixed the butter with the cinnamon and brown sugar, and since my oven gets hot, I baked at 350 for 10 minutes and they -still- came out hard and crusty on the outside (it's my oven -- it's done this before) so with the rest of the batch I'll be sure to make sure they come out of the oven sooner. However, even with that self-inflicted issue, these were still DELICIOUS, particularly in the center. I'm not sure what people mean by too much cinnamon -- there didn't seem to be enough for me and my roommate! And my roommate--she normally hates EVERYTHING, but she went back for seconds.

Four Cheese Macaroni

I guess I shouldn't technically review this since I didn't really follow the recipe at all barring using butter and four random kinds of cheese (Haha--I did use the processed cheese food and two cheddars, but I otherwise used this...french kind of cheese, I can't remember the name, and some mozzerella because I had it in my fridge). I also used skim milk and kept the eggs in. It turned out good, though, so hey!

Easy Mushroom Rice

I really liked this, despite the fact that I completely changed the ingredients to stuff that I have (but I give it 5 stars anyway, I know :P ) Anyway. i...really didn't have any of the ingredients, so my recipe consisted of brown rice, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth and butter. Threw it together, threw it in the oven, cooked it for longer cause hey, brown rice, and it was delicious.
