Banana Pecan Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
Best banana cake ever. For filling, I used a mix of dulce de leche and sour cream. Covered it in chocolate and added colored sprinkles. Yum.

Microwave Potato Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
So good and so easy! I used some cooking spray on the parchment paper since the potatoes stuck to the paper the first time I tried this recipe. You can reuse the paper as well.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
This is the actual meaning of chocolate cookies. They lacked a bit of sugar, in my opinion, but were great since you usually get extra sweet recipes and this tastes exclusively like chocolate.

Brigadeiro

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
These were very yummy but way too similar to Dulce de Leche. Brazilian brigadeiros have a different twist. They were great though, and the only difficulty I had had to do with the fact that I didn't cook the mix enough and had a hard time putting it into balls. I baked it over again and let it cool in the fridge for a while and it worked out perfect.

Chocolate Bliss Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
These were good but extremely buttery and, I'm not sure if it was my mistake, but they came out totally flat. I added about a fourth of the amount of chocolate suggested since it seemed a bit grotesque to add that much, and added a bit of flour as well. The second time around I froze the dough on the baking sheets before putting them in the oven and they turned out much better

Apple Breakfast Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2010
This is the best apple bread I've tried so far. It's rich and moist and disappears every single time I make it.

Delicious! These were quick and easy to make and were a major success amongst friends and family! I wouldn't change a single thing to the recipe.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
So much better than cake mix! Tastes chocolatey enough in my opinion. I baked the mix in two 9 inch round pans, filled it with dulce de leche and cream cheese mix and frosted it with Wedding Cake Icing (from this page) Thanks for the recipe!

Wedding Cake Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Amazing! Halved the recipe for two 10 inch round pans. I used butter instead of shortening and it turned out great. I did add a bit extra vanilla since i had no almond extract at hand but it would have been fine without it. I'm definitely keeping this recipe for good.

Oatmeal Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
This cake was good: sweet and hearty. Nonetheless, i can't give it any more than three stars since my idea of an oatmeal cake is more.. oatmealy! I will definitely try it out again and add a bunch more of oats.

Beat and Bake Orange Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
This cake is unbelievably quick and yummy. I will probably include some additional zest in the batter next time, i feel it wasn't "orangey" enough. The rest of it was perfect though: sweetness, texture and moisture.

White Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
These are amazing! They are very sweet but it fits the chocolate perfectly, though you could reduce the amount of sugar quite a bit without damaging the amazing flavor at all. I had ran out of baking soda when i made these and used baking powder instead and got a very nice, cakey but moist texture. It's a keeper.

Rum-Spiked Horchata

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
I used a bit less milk and vanilla and didn't use rum at all. It's a very sweet and really good served cold. I would probably sieve the liquid a couple of times before adding the condensed milk since you do get small bits of rice at the bottom of the jug.

Brownies I

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
These came out quite chewy. I like brownies when they're a bit more fudgey but these were a great success at home all the same. I suggest you don't bake more than indicated and also added a teaspoonful of vanilla extract.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
There´s too much oil in this! And it is quite flavourless without the pineapple. I'll stick to the Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting, it's far tastier and smells less like fried carrots.

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

THis carrot cake is brilliant. Its easy to make and quick too. Watch out because it does stick to the tray once you remove it from the pan. you might want to sprinkle some sugar on the tray before putting the cake on it.

Sunburst Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
This recipe is excelent. I made it for the first time last week and served along with brownies, cookies, etc and the lemon bars were a success! The icing came out too liquid with the given proportion of sugar:lemon juice but it is easy to see when the consistency is just right for spreading.
