Made the recommended adjustments and hubby liked it, but just not really my taste. Might make it again sometime though.

Wish it had a little stronger dill flavor. Might try adding a little after cooking next time.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

This is my new favorite party dish. I can't say enough about this recipe. Everytime I bring it somewhere several people request the recipe and it is SO EASY. Works wonderful in a crockpot too!

These are very rich and wonderful! We can't make them too often because they're so rich, but I use leftover chicken and they turn out great. would be a wonderful appetizer too!

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
I've made this recipe several times. I use a whole lb. of hamburger and freeze half the meatballs to make a quick and tasty meal later. I've used several types of pasta and they've all worked well for me. I've had no problems boiling it in the broth like others have, but I like to use whole grain pastas. I added some beef broth like another reviewer recommended last time and it was wonderful. I've always cooked the meatballs before adding to the soup so I'm not sure how it would have turned out the way it's written.

House Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
Woo Hoo! I finally found a fried rice recipe I like. This is perfect for leftover meats. I add some sesame seeds towards the end for a little extra flavor. I really like A LOT of scrambled egg in my fried rice so I think next time I'll add at least 3. I used 2 and it didn't seem like enough. Customize this recipe to your hearts content!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
This bread is excellent if you mash the bananas. I never tried it slicing them so not sure how that would turn out. I've made SEVERAL loafs using this recipe and they turn out perfect every time. I bake it at 325 so the crust isn't as crisp and add a little cinnamon.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
These are amazing! I can't stop making them... or eating them! I have received so many compliments and requests already. My recommendations are: cut back a little on the cream cheese and add a little extra butter & powdered sugar if you don't like the flavor of a rich cream cheese icing. Also, mix the butter with the cin. sugar mixture so it sticks to the dough easier.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
This recipe is PERFECT! It's not very often that I like a recipe just the way it is. I usually have to tweak it a little, but this one is great just the way it is! I LOVE sweet cornbread and have been trying to find a recipe like you get at the restaurants. This is it! I will never use a boxed mix again!

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
I just used a 1/2 smoked ham and this was wonderful! I did take the advice of other readers and used brown sugar instead of the corn syrup, cut the recipe in half and kept the same amount of butter as the full recipe. next time I would like to use ground cloves, but I only had whole cloves on hand and it still turned out great! hubby loved it!

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
This was so easy and good! I can't grill steak very well, but this turned out great! Even my mother-in-law (who is hard to impress) really liked it. I think I'll try the marinade on some other meats too...

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
Very moist & easy. This was my first Roast Chicken but it turned out great! I used an onion instead of celery because I didn't have celery on hand. I also added some garlic powder. I used a 5 lb. chicken so it took 2 hrs but still turned out great.

Tuna Noodle Casserole III

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
This is the first time I've tried making Tuna Noodle Casserole and this is a great basic recipe! I also used a sour cream and milk instead of butter and thought it was good that way. I added peas for something extra. I think it would have been a little boring for me without the peas. I also used whole wheat Ritz crackers for the topping and drizzled 3 Tb. butter over it instead of bread crumbs and Whole Grain spiral noodles instead of egg noodles. My husband and I both thought it was awesome with the whole grain noodles so I'll probably just use those in the future and we both LOVE Ritz cracker topping. I think next time I'll add a few spices.

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
This recipe is awesome! It was the first time I'd made granola and it was so easy! I wasn't big on the sunflower seeds so I think I'll skip them next time. I really liked the cinnamon so I'll add a little extra. I think I'll try toasting at a lower temp next time like other reviewers have recommended. A little bit of mine ended up over done.
