Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2003
This was wonderful! My family LOVED it! I took a knife and made deep punctures in the roast and pushed whole cloves of garlic all over it. We love garlic and this method flavored it through out the roast. It also looked really pretty when it was sliced. If you love garlic, this is a good way to add flavor!

I made this recipe and added layers of shaved chocolate. I didn't use the cocoa as I was out. It was very good! Will definitely do again.

Sweet and Sour Sauce I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
This was really good. I first stir fried an onion, a bell pepper, pineapple chunks and 3 cloves of crushed garlic with a little olive oil. Then stired in the cornstarch and the rest of the ingredients. Put it with chicken and it was perfect!

Bacon-Glazed Grilled Onions

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2004
This was addicting! I did not have a problem with the onions. I cut the onions in wedges and wrapped each wedge with 1/2 slice of bacon, then put a toothpick through the outside layer of the onion straight through to the inner layer. Every onion stayed in place. I also baked them in the oven first. Then put them in a foil pan, carried them to a barbeque at a park and re-heated them on the grill. It was great. We hardly had enough for the table....they were eaten at the grill!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2004
Great cheesecake, easy to prepare! When I make cheesecakes, or minature cheesecakes in muffin papers, I usually have problems with cracking or the middle will sink a little. I always mix up an 8 oz. container of sour cream to 2 heaping tablespoons of granulated sugar. Pour or spoon that over the cheesecake, while the cheesecake is warm. It will fill in any cracks, and leave a smooth shiny topping that sets like a gelatin. Works everytime! You can then even put your berry toppings or cinnamon.

New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2004
Holy mackeral! This was just an awesome, easy cheesecake! I used a 11 x 13 glass baking dish and added an extra cream cheese, and an extra 1/8 cup of sugar. This filled the dish, made it very thick and firm. I got rave reviews from my family, my son and his college friends. I cannot tell you how incredibly easy this is! You MUST make it ahead and let refrigerate.

Great recipe....! If you need a quick fix.....put all of the ingredients, including chopped green onions in a small baking dish, sprayed with non-stick spray, pour a jar of sweet and sour over the top, bake it until bubbly. Then use the wontons, (baked and sprayed with Pam..sprinkled with parmesan cheese and salt) to dip in the crab rangoon dip. Very good!!! and Very easy!!!

Lemon Curd Tassies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
These were easy to make, but time consuming. I made them in mini muffin tins, so they were a perfect accent on a cookie tray. I did not put the slivered almonds on top, but sprinkled powdered sugar, as I do on lemon bars. That was the perfect sweet tough to the tart lemon.

Mississippi Six

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2003
This recipe is very good for a winter party. I have made it twice. I subtituted ham for the beef. I prefer that. The second time I made it, was better. I mixed all of the ingredients and put them in the microwave to cook for several minutes, stirring between each minute. I then added it into the bread when it was hot. This made baking it easier and didn't take so long. The first time, it took a very long time to get the center to get hot, and the onions to cook.

Prosciutto Parmesan and Pine Nut Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2005
Wow! This was excellent. I did change it a little....I brushed a very small amount of olive oil on the slices of break and grilled them on my "George Foreman grill", then took a raw clove of garlic and rubbed it on each slice of bread. I also added chopped sundried tomatoes to the mixture. It was delicious.

Antojitos Minis

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2005
This was a very pretty presentation. I changed it according to what I had on hand and what I like. I used 1 cup of frozen corn, 1 can drained black beans, 1 drained can of rotel ( in place of tomatoes), green onion, cheeses, garlic, salsa. It was really good. I will definitely make this again.

Fantastic Mexican Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2006
I love this recipe. My family loved it as well. I cooked the beef with green onions, added garlic, then made a mistake after reading another reviewers addition. I added a can of Rotel to the meat, a jar of taco sauce and cooked it down. I was trying to make a little bigger recipe, so I added an extra cream cheese, then worried about the taco flavoring not being enough. I added an envelope of Fiesta Hidden Valley Ranch Dip mix to it. Layered it and it was excellent!

Black Forest Cheesecakes

These were easy. Very good...however, I worried the pie filling was too sweet with everything else, so I added a few fresh raspberries on top...no pie filling. They looked pretty and tasted great.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Super easy and super delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect. I popped two dutch ovens of popcorn on the stove. I am not a fan of microwave popcorn....I lightly salted it. My popcorn was warm so no problems stirring it. I sprayed pam on two cookie sheets...mixed up half the popcorn in a large metal bowl and repeated on the second cookie sheet. Very easy and great recipe. I only baked for 30 minutes as we like it a little soft.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I changed it a little after reading the reviews. I used three packages of crescent rolls....it made it easier for me to cover the 9 x 13 glass pan. I pressed those in. Then I mixed 3 pkgs. of cream cheese neufschatel with 1 cup of sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla. Poured that in the crust and topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon. rolled out the rest of the crescent rolls placed those on top. Pressed all the edges. Melted the butter poured it over, then sprinkled only 1/2 cup of sugar all over and some more cinnamon. Baked for 35 minutes then drizzled honey on it. Let it sit for an hour then cut and served. It was an absolute rave recipe with co-workers. Easy, easy, easy and I was told it was good. I never got a piece!

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
Very good. I made this for a mexican dinner we were having at work. I was worried about it being a little bland, so I beat two cream cheese with 3/4 cup sugar and tsp of vanilla. I then stirred in the apple pie filling and filled with that. I ended up making two large ones for work and used cherry pie filling for one and did the same thing with the cream cheese. Everyone loved it!
