Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2013
I've made this recipe lots of times now and we all love it. I made the following changes though: use real buttermilk (i use the same amounts: 3/4 cup and then add two tablespoons of buttermilk again) since using milk and vinegar gave them a funny taste. The batter does turn out quite thick - don't add milk to make it like other batters you're used to, otherwise the pancakes will not turn out fluffy. I have made these pancakes with and without butter - we prefer the texture of the pancakes when made without it. And do let it rest for 30 minutes, it does make a difference.

Sweet and Sour Pork III

Perfect recipe! If you want a foolproof recipe that will turn out great first time you make it, this is it. I just added some carrots as other reviewers suggested.

Original Nestle® Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
This really is the best ccc-recipe I've tried until now. I didn't have any nuts on hand and they still turned out great. Will be adding them the next time though (which will be very soon:-).

Tasty Buns

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
Yes, they did smell wonderful and did turn out wonderfully soft... but I was a little disappointed as they were not all that tasty. So the second time i made them, I doubled the salt and they came out just right for us. It is a great recipe to play around with. Next time I'll make these with raisins and a little more sugar..mmmh:-).

Tiramisu II

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
Mmmmmh...delicious. I have a picky Italian husband and I've already tried lots of Tiramisu recipes and none of them could please him. But with this recipe he just went silent, ate the whole thing and said it was one of the best he's eaten so far:-). I followed the advices to double the coffee, but did not double the alcohol (I used cognac and not rum). Really does turn out like something you get served in the restaurant. Thank you for sharing this great recipe:-)

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
These Banana Bars were sooooo good. I followed the recipe exactly as it was and used the whipped cream cheese frosting from this site - delicious. I took them to a bbq as a desert and they disappeared in two minutes... This really is one great recipe, can't wait to make them again.

Millie Pasquinelli's Fried Chicken

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
This was the first time i tried to fry chicken myself and it turned out delicious, the whole family just loved it. As i didn't have any seasoned salt i just used 4 1/2 tablespoons of salt and australian chicken salt. It was a little too salty for me (but not my husband). Thank you soo much for the great recipe, this is a keeper!!
