Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
Excellent recipe made a couple small changes... Decreased paprika to 1/2tsp - kids found it too spicy, sometimes I leave it out all together. Followed other suggestions of seasoned salt vs. regular salt, 2-3 garlic cloves (fresh), 2 bay leaves - I omit celery and use 2 regular potatoes and 2 sweet potatoes, I add in a packet of brown gravy mix and just eyeball the beef broth probably use about a 1/2 carton...kids love it!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
4 Stars after modifications- used one egg with a little milk for the egg wash, crushed up my ritz in a bag and added some Tony Chachere's, garlic powder and some parm cheese - Followed other reviews and used 4 Tbsp butter melted and poured in the pan and cooked for 25 mins turning twice and spooning the butter over the chicken- Also let this rest for 10 mins to really hold in the moisture and the result was 4 spotless plates! Even my picky 5 year old gobbled it up. Thanks!

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
My new meatloaf recipe!! This is so easy with very few ingredients but the end result is very flavorful- love the topping. I like the mini meatloaves as they seem easier to get cooked properly than a large loaf plus the individual servings are great for kids.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
This was great and my picky kids loved it! Put whole chicken breasts in the crockpot and topped with the italian seasonings and the cream chicken soup. Cooked on low about 4 hours and then shredded the chicken and stirred in the sour cream and some frozen peas and cooked another hour or so. Ended up adding in a little water at the end because the sauce was really thick. Skipped the cream cheese as the flavor was great without it. Served over egg noodles- will definitely be making this again.

Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Great recipe. I make this exactly as written and is something I have served for company with many compliments. I do have to say that I find it important to put the chops in the oven while the sauce is finishing if you are making these in the crockpot. (as the recipe is written) Once I just let them sit out and they got terribly dry, lesson learned! I have also found that these usually cook up in 5-6 hours for me but I usually use a medium sized chop not the really thick ones.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
After trying dozens of meatloaf recipes this is now the only one I use! I usually use Club cracker because that is what I have on hand, I use about 1/2 of the packet of onion soup mix and line the pan with bread to catch the grease. For me this had the perfect texture light and just moist enough and crispy on the edges.

Chicken Delicious

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
I used the suggestions of a previous review and omitted the celery salt and cream of celery soup. Instead used one can of cream of mushroom and the a soup can full of heavy cream. Yummy. A great comfort food, I served over rice with some steamed veggies and put a little of the sauce all over.

Parmesan Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
Very quick and easy meal that I was able to put together with on hand ingredients. The only change I made was to only use 1/2 pack of onion soup mix after reading all the reviews about the dish being salty, also only used about 1 1/4 cup of milk because that was all I had and 4 chicken breasts. I cooked it on high for just over 5 hours and the rice was perfect. My picky kids cleaned their plates.
