About this Cook
I've been married since May of 2003 and had my first child, a little girl in February of 2008. I have been cooking for a little while but have just recently gotten more into it as I am a stay at home mom now. My husband inspires me to be a better cook. I recently found this website and I love it!
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake anything! Sometimes I'll bake when I'm bored just for something fun to do. Plus I love baked goods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter are my big traditional meals. I always save certain dishes for only these occasions, which, I think make them taste a whole lot better. Plus they're something to look forward to.
My cooking triumphs
Anything made from scratch that turns out really well.
My cooking tragedies
Cooking any meat. It took me a long time to learn how to cook different meats. It used to intimidate me until my husband educated me on it. He's a fabulous cook! Now I cook meat more bodly and have just recently startd to tackle the BBQ grill! Yikes! :o)

Korean BBQ Sauce
Delicious! We had this with Pork ribs-amazing taste. When I made it I didn't think it smelled too good and I was nervous about trying it, but it turned out to taste so good! This will be my go-to recipe for BBQ sauce from now on.

Megan's Granola
I've made this cereal so many times and I love it! Cook it at 300 degrees for only 20-25 minutes. It does come out gooey but will firm up. I once cooked it for half an hour and it was burned and not very tasty. I like my granola crunchy for cereal so I freeze it. I only make half as this recipe does make a ton. But again, it freezes really well too.

Emily's Famous Marshmallows
Very good. SO when I made them there was no "explosion" or "expansion" of the sugar/gelatin mixture. I was worried it wouldn't work but when I mixed it with the egg whites it worked great. At first it took a while in my kitchenaid mixer to get the egg white/sugar/gelatin mixture to form stiff peaks but it did "grow" in size. I got a doulble batch from this one recipe. Double meaning I made 2 8x8 pans with leftovers! My husband a three year old liked the marshmallow cream. I made one batch as the recipe called for and the other batch peppermint. It only took me 30 minutes. I will definently make again!
