Excellent - I'll definately make this again. I didn't have any red onion on hand. Like one reviewer suggested I added real Hormel bacon bits! My husband wanted seconds!

This tasted pretty good. Nothing to rave about. Just a nice change from how I regularly do asparagus. Thanks for the recipe.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
Excellent! I added whole almonds! Instead of using 1/2 cup of corn syrup, I only used 1/4 cup and added 1/4 cup real maple syrup! Yummers! We couldn't stop eating it! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
Excellent soup. I also added 2-3 cloves of minced garlic in with the sauteed onion. I used 2 big heads of fresh broccoli. I also put in 1 cup of carrots, julienned in the broth with the broccoli. I used 1 pound of extra old cheddar cheese and I grated it in at the end and it melted in just seconds. I didn't put in the garlic powder as I had already added the minced garlic in the beginning. Like others suggest I too used 2 cups of 1/2 and 1/2 instead of milk....very creamy! This is now a family favourite!

Pumpkin Gingerbread

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
This is amazing! The only thing I added was 1 tsp of freshly grated nutmeg. Like one person suggested I baked at 325 and it took 1 1/2 hours to bake. This won't be sticking around here long - it is tooo delish! This will be a new family favourite.

Apricot Crumble

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2010
This had no taste really - I was so disappointed. Not enough crumble on top. Also the crumble mixture wasn't very sweet. I'm sorry but I won't be making this again.

After reading all the reviews I too only used 1/3 can of sweetened condensed milk and about 1 tbsp of white sugar. I also added 1 tbsp of bick's green relish! This recipe is a real keeper! A new favourite! This makes a huge recipe and my family loved it!!! They even would eat it in the fridge late at night for a snack! You will love it!

Tzatziki Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
Excellent! As another review suggested I used sour cream in place of yogurt and I couldn't even wait for my chicken souvlaki to come out of the oven. I started rumaging through my pantry looking for chips & crackers to dip into this yummy super duper dip!

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
Tastes quite good...this is hard like MacIntosh Toffee. I used all chopped/crushed pecans and I used milk chocolate chips. There is quite a bit of toffee left in your mouth though as you are chewing and it gets harder and harder as you chew and you end up with a little ball of hard candy in your mouth. I want to figure out how to make this a bit softer and more brittle and not so grainy and hard.

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
This recipe is excellent! I love the dipping sauce! I made up a caesar salad and served the blackened chicken on top of it. This chicken even tasted better today! This is exactly the kind of recipe I was looking for for blackened chicken and I need to no longer look further for one! Thanks so much!

Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
Great recipe! I took the advise of others and quickly browned the chops after seasoning them in a bit of garlic powder, salt and fresh ground pepper. I also butterflied them as I had centre loin chops and they were quite thick. Once I browned the chops I removed them from the pan and then added a little bit more butter and garlic and sauteed the onions and thinly sliced mushrooms. I didn't have a can of golden just regular and also did used an additional can of cream of celergy and I added 2 scant cans of creamo. I cooked it covered and removed the cover the last 10 mins or so. My husband raved about them and was licking the serving spoon so I knew that was a great sign!

Ali's Amazing Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
WOW!!! No need to go to a restaurant! This bruschetta is simply to die for! Like others suggested I added a splash of balsamic vinegar to the tomato mixture. I had all ingredients on hand and had 2 packages of Concerto baby tomatoes and cut each of those in 1/4's. I minced 4 cloves of garlic and sauted it in 2 Tablespoons of olive oil. I used fresh basil and as others suggested tripled the basil. One poster suggested to cut a garlic clove lengthwise in 1/2 and rub on the bread. I also drizzled olive oil on top of the parmesan cheese. I upped the heat and baked for 10 minute at 400. My husband says this is our appetizer we will be making for all the parties this coming year! Thanks for sharing - a real keeper!
