About this Cook
I am a Pampered Chef® Consultant, visiting people's homes to demonstrate a recipe using our FANTASTIC products! I enjoy all of the great people that I am able to meet through this venture. I have been married since November 2000, have two stepchildren and one little boy that was just born in April of 2005. I love my family!
My favorite things to cook
I always enjoy baking desserts! (This is my way of getting to eat them, too!) When I was working, I would bake and bring in goodies almost weekly. I love sharing things that I have made with others and seeing the smile it brings to their faces!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I can remember growing up (I was probably 10 or so) my Mom would let me make Sunday dinner, and then I would spend Sunday evening "testing" a new dessert recipe. It always made me feel good to be in the kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
Especially since finding this site, and using Pampered Chef cookbooks, most of the things I make work out well! I usually make recipes on this site that have already been reviewed by quite a few people, and that have received high marks from most of the reviewers!
My cooking tragedies
I am sure that I had many crazy concoctions that I tried as I was growing up and experimenting in the kitchen...nothing really stands out, though, as a tragedy!

Banana Chai Bread
I think this is a really good "beginning" recipe. Next time I will make a few changes: 1. Add more bananas. Even with mine being very over ripe, I couldn't taste much banana flavor. 2. Add more chai. I brewed VERY strong chai, and I still couldn't taste it much. Next time I want to brew some strong tea and maybe add some of the instant Chai mix from Tastefully simple. 3. Don't overmix! I like the more breadlike consistancy, but mine were almost too tough. I will hand mix in the dry ingredients next time so I don't overwork the batter.

Salisbury Steak
I added some fresh parsley to the meat mixture...also didn't care too much for the gravy recipe. Next time I will make gravy using Lipton onion soup mix. You could really taste the ketchup and the worshistershire sauce which is why I didn't care for it. The texture and flavor of the meat patties was VERY good though!

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies
These are the best! I changed a few things though, due to not having some ingredients on hand. Instead of walnuts, I added 1 t. almond extract and instead of the milk chocolate, I chopped up some DARK chocolate. These were gone in two days! Yum! I used a 1 T. scoop for the cookies, and it made 6 dozen+
