I live in South Jersey with my boyfriend and our son...Enjoy gardening, anything outdoors, camping, watching sports....I love to cook but I have a hard time following recipes, which is strange cause I am constantly looking for new recipes and then never follow them...I just kind of use them as a guide....
My favorite things to cook
Anything Italian...Anything with cheese :)Mexican food with cheese and more cheese....I just started getting into baking...Love making cookies for Xmas...I Love making humungous tossed green salads with everything in them and then eating salad for days...Tapping into my inner rabbit, I guess...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing tomatoes and canning them, nothing taste better than tomato sauce made with fresh tomatoes....Sauteed garlic blue claw crabs (my dad's specialty)
My cooking triumphs
Perfecting my dad's garlic crabs...I think they came out the same like twice..Which was a good feeling...I keep saying I am gonna take the time while I am making them to measure everything and write it down as I go but that prob will never happen, that is just not my style of cooking...Come to think of it, my dad was the same way..
My cooking tragedies
Setting off the smoke det. many times...Overflowing cakes cause I used a pan that was too small...I've had many mishaps and it's all a part of learning from my mistakes...

Sticky Monkey Brains
I have made this twice and still can't figure what I did wrong...both times the brown sugar turned into rock hard caramel prob because I used dark brown sugar both times, that was all I had...Both times I used a tube pan and it completely stuck and fell apart as I tried to remove it, which it was warm both times...Overall, very good just looked messy...I will keep trying until I get it right...
