Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2001
This was an awesome cake. I love the look of a dark almost black cake. It was super moist. Don't be alarmed by how thin the batter is. My friends loved it!!!

Maria's Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2012
I love this recipe. Made it twice in one week, once with chicken. Did cut back on honey and vinegar as suggested. Also added ginger. This is definitely in my "love this" folder.

Clark's Quiche

I made this recently for some friends. They loved it. I left out all the meat because I needed to have at least one vegetarian dish. I will definitely make this again.

Zucchini Bread IV

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
This recipe was great. I made several substitutions to make it healthier since my boyfriend and I are trying to eat better. Replaced half the oil with 3/4 cups of unsweetened applesauce; replaced one of the eggs with egg white. I will definitely make this again and again and again.

Italian Roast Beef I

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2003
This recipe is awesome. I don't eat beef but my friends absolutely enjoyed it. The first time I made it, I used a slow cooker and added worcestershire sauce which really helped with the smell. The second time I made it a co-worker suggested tha I place celery in the slow cooker and that would help with the smell. It really worked. This is definitely a keeper and everyone absolutely loves it.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2012
I gave this recipe 5 stars, not so much for me. I made this for a gathering of friends. They are all fans of spinach dip. They LOVED it. I used a reduced fat cream cheese and experimented with a roasted pepper cheese sauce. It was good and had lots of flavor. I served with melba toast and restaurant style tortilla chips.

My family and I loved this dish. It was excellent. Only two substitutions...used fat-free ranch and was still great and half the amount of oil.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
I don't eat pork and made ribs for some serious rib eaters. The ribs were hit but even more important they loved the sauce. I actually used the sauce on chicken. I did make ome changes. I left out the whiskey, increased the molasses to 2 1/2 tbsp and te chile pepper to 1 1/2 tbsp. I also cut the vinegar to 1/2 cup.

I love this recipe. However, instead of using milk I use a light sour cream. I am a not a huge fan of rosemary so I used fresh chives instead.

This was a great recipe. I didn't have cumin on hand so I used curry powder. I also made a dipping sauce from ranch dressing, red bell peppers, curry powder and chilli powder. It was great.
