This was an awesome cake. I love the look of a dark almost black cake. It was super moist. Don't be alarmed by how thin the batter is. My friends loved it!!!

This was a great recipe. I served it as an appetizer for a multicourse meal. Next time I will use smaller size raviolis. I will definitely make it again.

American-Italian Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2001
I substituted turkey salami for the Genoa. I also used peas and carrots. I substituted creamy Italian dressing for the mayo combination which made the recipe even easier. I added sundried tomatos for a different flavor. Everyone loved it. Will make a gain.

Italian Roast Beef I

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2003
This recipe is awesome. I don't eat beef but my friends absolutely enjoyed it. The first time I made it, I used a slow cooker and added worcestershire sauce which really helped with the smell. The second time I made it a co-worker suggested tha I place celery in the slow cooker and that would help with the smell. It really worked. This is definitely a keeper and everyone absolutely loves it.

I used this for the first time during Christma and it has been a hit with all of my friends. I did add more sugar and I actually add cream to the drink when I make it.

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2003
I love this recipe. However, instead of using milk I use a light sour cream. I am a not a huge fan of rosemary so I used fresh chives instead.

This was a great recipe. I didn't have cumin on hand so I used curry powder. I also made a dipping sauce from ranch dressing, red bell peppers, curry powder and chilli powder. It was great.

This was a very good Alfredo. I added a pinch of nutmeg to give it a more authentic taste along with grilled vegetables (carrots, onions, zucchini). It was great.

Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2008
I enjoyed this recipe. However, I tripled the cumin and added fresh corn off of the cob. I also cooked it in a slow cooker vs a dutch oven on top of stove. I used mexican blend cheese along with pepper jack which gave it a kick since I love spicy and hot food. I served with tri-color nacho chips. My friends loved it.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
The chicken was very moist and flavorful but it really didn't have a rotisserie flavor that you get from supermarkets. Not sure I would make it again because of the time involved.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
I don't eat pork and made ribs for some serious rib eaters. The ribs were hit but even more important they loved the sauce. I actually used the sauce on chicken. I did make ome changes. I left out the whiskey, increased the molasses to 2 1/2 tbsp and te chile pepper to 1 1/2 tbsp. I also cut the vinegar to 1/2 cup.
