English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
These were AMAZING!!! I had my doubts, due to the simplicity of the ingredients, but the scones came out wonderfully! I used a whole stick of butter and 10 tbsp orange juice mixed with 1tbsp vanilla and the scones came out with a great vanillia, gently sweet taste. You can't really taste the OJ, but you can taste the delicate citrus sweetness. All in all, an easy, amazing, delicious recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
Although I followed the recipe EXACTLY, the cookies only came out ok. My biggest issue is that they were NOT chewy. They were just kinda cakey-soft in the middle with a crispier outside. The cookie wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either.

Low-Fat Blueberry Bran Muffins

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
Awesome! I replaced the oat bran with regular oats and added walnuts. They were delicious! Not too sweet, very chewy (which is how I like em!). Yum!

Fluffy Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
Instead of shortening, I used butter for flavor. I used a food processor to make these. The result? PERFECT BISCUITS. They puffed up in the oven like a dream and they practically melted in my mouth. However, I do like my biscuits a little flakier, so next time (aka, right now!) I'll use half butter and half shortening.

Seminary Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
These muffins are amazing! I used whole-wheat flour, and omitted the nuts and chocolate chips. They turned out light and delicious, not gummy at all. If you do choose to omit the chocolate chips, you should definitely reduce the salt. I used the given amount, but the muffins came out a bit salty. I'll use only 1/2 a tsp next time. This recipe is so easy, and will definitely be used again.

Amsterdam Hippie Soymilk Chai

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
This is probably going to be my comfort drink for the rest of my life. Simply delicious. I have tons of fresh spices, but I've never considered using them in a drink! I used vanilla soymilk, and the end result is delicious -- I'm drinking it right now. The spices aren't very strong, but potent enough to give my palate a nudge. Phenomenal!

Sweet Cottage Cheese and Bananas

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
I thought I was the only one who knew about this... This is a great breakfast or snack. I use non-fat cottage cheese to make it super healthy -- plenty of protein and potassium without too many calories or fat. I also like to add sliced almonds for some extra protein and a yummy crunch. Try it!
