Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

My husband and I have made this recipe twice now, exactly as the recipe calls for once and with a whole lot more mushroom the second time. Super ├╝ber delicious. I made it with Veggie pasta, if you haven't tried veggie past, you should. I get it at WalMart : )

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies are AMAZEBALLS!!! I made them for my husband who fell asleep before the dough had chilled so I only made a couple cookies the first night for myself and I thought they were good but really dry. The next day the dough had dried out further so I added 1/4ish cups of oil (only made 1/2 the recipe) and that made all the difference. I didn't roll the dough into walnut sized balls or press them with a fork (if they look too perfect how will people know I slaved over them ; P). I just scooped big globs onto the pan and they turned out SO well!

Better than IHOP's pancakes! And I love IHOPS pancakes. I make this recipe all the time now, it's my go-to when we have guests sleep over and it's always a big hit!

Pumpkin Roll with Toffee Cream Filling and Caramel Sauce

I made this Pumpkin Roll and another from this website side by side trying to decide which to bring to Thanksgiving this year, this one won hands down. It was so delicious and the filling is light and fluffy, not too sweet. I think next time I'll add pumpkin spice to the mix, possibly to the filling just to give it a little extra and I think I'll make about 1/3 more filling. I would just say to be sure to get the caramel they say in the recipe, I could not find it anywhere so I just bought caramel candies and melted them down, such a pain, hardened so fast I couldn't even drizzle before it cooled. I love the toffee as a change of texture in the dish. Also I only waiting 20mins with the cake wrapped in the damp dish towel (That's the length of time on the other recipe) and it was still pretty warm when I unrolled it, didn't crack anywhere! I didn't force it, just unrolled it enough to get the filling in there and quickly but carefully rolled it back up before it cooled. So delicious and it looks fantastic!!!

Magic Spice Cake

I have made this in both cake form and as cupcakes. It was a huge hit at my boss' birthday party made exactly as the recipe says but I do make some changes now. I agree with a lot of the posts here that say it's not spiced enough. I add quite a bit more of the spices in the recipe as well as allspice. I can't say how much I use because I just add until it looks spiced enough. This is now my boyfriends favorite cake; I make it for his birthday every year in cupcake form. Not too sure why people are admitting to altering the recipe completely and then giving a low rating saying it didn't turn out well... Just follow the recipe to the letter the 1st time around. You wont be disappointed. I like it with and without frosting. I also like to sprinkle some cinnamon on top of the icing as well as mixing some of the spices into the icing. It screams I'm a spice cake!
